Just looking at some of the upcoming free agents at LB for the 3-4 Scheme. Figured I'd show you guys and get your thoughts and opinions.

1. Anthony Spencer (Dallas)
2. Paul Kruger (Baltimore)
3. Shaun Phillips (San Diego)
4. Connor Barwin (Houston)
5. Manny Lawson (Cincinnati)
6. Brad Jones (Green Bay)
7. Erik Walden (Green Bay)
8. Bradie James (Houston)
9. Clark Haggans (San Francisco)
10. Lorenzo Alexander (Washington)
11. Gary Guyton (San Diego)
12. James Farrior (Pittsburgh)
13. Larry Foote (Pittsburgh; I think he's retiring though)
14. Tim Dobbins (Houston)
15. Dannell Ellerbee (Baltimore)
16. Sergio Kindle (Baltimore)
17. Quentin Groves (Arizona)
18. Paris Lenon (Arizona)

I'd take Lawson for strong outside lb in a heartbeat

Spencer and Kruger were the defensive MVPs of their teams this season. They picked a heck of a time to have career years. Phillips never struck me as a dominant pass rusher but he totally fell off the map this season - at a bad time might I add. Spencer may be a bit too much for my taste, but from afar, I've admired the season Kruger just had. We most likely end of with neither of them, the price being too high.

Well you won't likely have to worry about the cowboys re-signing Spencer if you plan to take a chance on him.

If the price is right, I'd like to see them go after Ellerbee. Like his awareness and aggression that I've seen during the playoffs

Good work...and definitely adds to the overall board discussions. Sometime tonight or tomorrow, will get in there and pick out a few,.when I'm not enjoying happy hour with friends.

I could see us picking up Shaun Phillips on the cheap as a low risk/high reward guy. He played with Drew at Purdue and SD and as already stated, he didn't have a great year last year. I don't see any problem with signing him cheap to compete if someone else doesn't over pay him. If he's awful, no big loss.

Snatch Bradie James up and sign Sergio Kindle/then draft Ogletree and Brandon Jenkins.

There is your depth.

I'd kill for Kruger. Guy is an amazing football player.

Definitely don't sign Shaun Phillips, my brother is a chargers fan and said he was an absolute liability on the field, couldn't even pass rush, and we know we need pass rushers, I remember seeing his end of season PFF grade being -20.6

You left 49ers ILB Larry Grant off of your list, and he's a guy I'd love to see us grab. He looked really good last season when Willis was banged-up, but this season he didn't much PT with Willis and Bowman staying healthy all year. He's a very solid ILB in a 3-4, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he started for us if we landed him.

I remember him he was fantastic in place of Willis he can easily start for any team. I hope the Saints look into him.
