You log on and you have your daily 10 page bounty thread.
You have a 8 page draft thread.
A 10 page free agent thread.
A 10 page thread about Jeff Duncans tweets.
A 9 page thread about the Saints next DC.
A 5 page thread about the 34 defense.
A 7 Page Mark Ingram thread.
Your daily 4 page Falcons hate thread.

Where do you start?

Do you read every page of every thread?
Do you skim over the whole thing?
Do you read the 1st and the last page of each thread?

I get overwhelmed when I read this place sometimes.

Sometimes I dont know where to start or where to stop.

New threads get started faster then I can read them.
I want to read it all but I have a life.
What do I do?

Its almost like when I had an easier time finding something to watch on tv when we only had 12 channels vs having 300.

lol..im a football fanatic. I go through all the threads im interested in. If im not then i don't read them.

Some guys will go to ur thread and bash u for posting and its like ok.......i didn' t ask u to click the link.

I love this site though. Im on @ 3am . I post @ 6AM. I read@ 3pm. Im just always on this site....that and PFT/

INRATS unless I'm actually going to try and contribute, then if it's a long thread, it's a smart and efficient INRATS.

Oddly enough, I was thinking a few days ago about this very thing. I personally read certain types of threads and ignore others. That's how I make it through. I typically check the threads in the morning and evening, and will try to contribute and post in the threads I want to follow.

I like the light-hearted stuff and the big breaking news. SP reinstated, Spags fired, the stuff that's important to know and understand. I admit I like the thread that poke fun at the Falcons and the Cowboys, and anything else that I think might give me a laugh.

The ones I typically stay away from are the "speculation" threads. I don't read the threads about the draft, because to me it's a lot of speculation. I understand 100% why so many love these threads, just not my thing, different strokes/different folks. But when draft day comes, and actually moves get made, then I'm more interested. And I tend to avoid the deeply technical threads, like discussing the ins and outs of the 3-4 defense. I read enough to know what it is, but that's enough for me.

So that's me. Just read certain types of threads and ignore others. That's how I make it through.

Good post.

one thing i hate is how people RED THUMB EVERYTHING.

They red thumb opinions if they don't agree
They red thumb articles that u post for viewing pleasure
They red thumb suggestions/questions

They'll red thumb u for posting about having a child if ur not careful.

Get kinda reckless but im like hey...there are enough people on here that i enjoy debating with. They outweigh the idiots who get mad just because u don't agree on say a draft prospect or something

And its fun to just go back and red thumb any and everyone u think red thumbed u in spite. Like im doing now :D

Whining about red thumbs is the best way to acquire them.

Just pointing out who ******** i think it is.

Dude i like randy moss.......red thumb.....like why did u red thumb me for liking randy moss. Thats stupid??

:jpshakehead:

Just amazes me but carry on. I like the debates.

Only time I use the red thumb is if someone is being an idiot (like the moron from the Gleason ad post the other day). I usually click the green thumb when someone posts a reply I like, rather I agree with it or not.

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of the rep system but I can see why we have it. Doesn't hurt either way.

I look first for the breaking news threads....and the dome patrol threads. Love them both.

I agree

Deserving of red thumb : "Maybe we should get Lovie Smith to run our D" (after hearing that we are switching to a 3-4)

not deserving of red thumb: Do u guys think we should go after randy moss?

Im not sure i even understand rep fully...don't care to understand it. I don't come on here for rep...i really like talking football with people. With that being said i just think its silly to red thumb people because u don't agree with their opinion.

1. Read the MEGA MERGES (...usually hot topics)

2. Read the ones with 500+ views within 6 hrs (...usually interesting discussion)

3. Any thread started by Andrus (...if Andrus is the OP, it's important).

4. Any thread started by TCUDan (and a handful of other posters)... guaranteed to be good stuff.

Everyone has their own rhyme & reason. The above 4 are my launching points.

I am truly thankful for SR.com (Mods, Admin & members).
