Well that's putting it lightly.

Drew Brees was one of the most vocal players to criticize the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal disciplinary process, and he continues to speak out.

During Brees' Wednesday appearance on NFL Network's "NFL AM", the Saints quarterback ripped Gregg Williams' tone and word choice as heard on the infamous audio tape.

"He sounds like a madman," Brees said about the Saints' former defensive coordinator. "He sounds reckless, careless. Even that rhetoric doesn't belong in the game."

He's saying that GW is crazy, and even his rhetoric is strong. You have to understand that GW is just trying to pump his team up, but he is crossing the line by telling guys to seriously injure players (take out the ACL, etc...). He still stands by our innocence, though, since none of our players actually listened to his ridiculousness. Basically, he's putting it all on GW, which I would agree with.

I really liked, and appreciated, the fact that he said that during THIS season he has heard countless examples of basically exactly what the Saints got in trouble for. Game day is a day of emotions. You cannot take someone literally when playing football unless you are coaching or playing for the saints that is. Lol

I know I was just kind of surprised by it.

The only thing I didn't like was the ACL comment. I've torn my ACL and I wish that on no man, not even Goodell. That was the worst 8 months of my life.... You're helpless for 2 solid months. Everyone has to help you with everything you do. It's just not fun. I cringe every time I hear someone tears an ACL.

It sure is nice that Brees is on the NFLPA exeutive committee. He can say what he feels about the players reaction to the commish and do it with a smile. It doesn't hurt that he also starts the Pro Bowl and throws a couple of scores the weekend before.

Goodell can't touch that dude. Drew transcends Goodell. And he knows how to work that pocket perfectly.

And why are we still talking about this? And why didnt Drew say this stuff much earlier?

Ok first I am 10000000000% against what the NFL & Hitler did to us, but this is over, done, and squashed, especially after the ruling by the Judge, we cant hit the rewind button and undo all of this.

Im not sure why people keep flaming the fire, especially when it took months for Drew to even say anything, why hold onto it for so long??(Is it possible he now knows things he didnt know before)?

If Greg was so bad why didnt they fire him after the loss to the Seahawks???

Its so weird more of this stuff about Greg is coming out AFTER all the initial rulings by Hitler and now Tags.

Since we have never seen the actual proof(and never will!) is this stuff leaking out from the NFL or Saints Org/Players?

Are they trying to wreck 3g? And please, dont tell me the defensive player never whispered a word about this to the offensive players?

They had to have known this was going on, at least perhaps possibly?

Sheesh, my brain is melting thinking about all this crap.

And now we hear Greg was texting our draft picks to other teams, has this been corroborated by anyone specifically?

Done...............

Nobody is making you read or talk about anything.

Thats not an answer to my post.

Because your post is a lot of questions that none of us can answer. Pretty sure Drew has earned the right to talk about whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and for as long as he wants. You don't think that maybe doing all this super bowl crap in New Orleans after putting up with the season he had to put up with might make him the least bit angry? You don't think that maybe NOW is the time to talk about it when he has the platform that he has and there are no more distractions to come from it? Or maybe because the commissioner says in a friggin reddit AMA that we aren't getting our second round pick back? You think Drew isn't supposed to feel cheated and ripped off right now?

Whatever, man. This thing isn't EVER going to go away, and nor should it. This is the biggest sham in the history of professional sports and YOUR brain is melting? Right. Drew probably hasn't been affected by any of this at all.

Plus the fact that an injustice was done, and nobody seems to be able to right the wrong. What is prevent this sort of thing from happening again? And the process of one person having all this power as well as promulgating a bogus legal process seeps into the society as a whole. It's a terrible model for others in power.
