Rob Ryan and Romeo Crennel are leading candidates (1 Viewer)

I'll wait until we hear that someone has even come in for an interview. Until that's reported, they're just reporting names they know.

Sounds like they are just reporting names of people that are unemployed and run a 3-4 defense. Technically they are leading candidates...they are available to interview RIGHT NOW.

I think we should take our time...period.

With that being said. Id take Grantham and his DB cordinator. Crennel coaching the OLB/Vit ILB and Rob Ryan coaching the Dline..

Thats a nice set of coordinators. Its possible. If Ryan doens't get hired for this job or the eagles job hes basically out of 3-4 d coordinator positions. Meaning he might have to take a position coach job. It would humble him..but it depends on if he can take a backseat.

saints are smart enough to not hire rob ryan

That would be obvious due to their respective tenures in the NFL.

But Saints arent going to leave any stone unturned. So while they may be leading now, due to their resume, if a brighter, young DC nails his interview and presents a defensive scheme that SP thinks will work, that players will buy into, then they become less attractive.

Rob Ryan is a nutjob but that's probably what this team needs. Gregg Williams built the defense to be aggressive... opportunistic... hard-hitting... maybe Ryan is the dude.

Me personally I want Crennell but we'll see.
