is going to be Ivory and PT both with 1000 yards and sproles all purpose. Ingram should be trade bait for defensive pics in this draft.

I've never been sold on Rothelisberger anyway. He's not bad, but never been consistently great. I know he's won 2 SBs, but he wasn't the main reason for their success. I don't have stats in front of me, but I think Ben's been in decline for a couple of years.

Sort of like Carson Palmer. For like 2 years, he was a beast. Then he hit a decline. The Raiders traded for that 2 year Palmer reputation. Truth is, he wasn't playing well before he sat out a season. Plus, he's been not as good for the Raiders.

Actually before Ben got injured he was on pace towards getting his best statistical season in his career, but I do agree with you somewhat. He is not an elite QB as in the Brees/Manning/Brady realm but he is a great QB. Your right his team was really great but no they were not everything. Every team needs a QB that gets things done. There have been some cases where teams won a Super Bowl with a slouch of a QB, but thats a 3 out of 10 possibility.

As you can see this year his injury played a huge role in the Steelers missing the playoffs. Before this year his teams have relied on the run more then on the run since they are more of a conservative offense with such a strong defense backing him up. Joe Flacco flourished when more reliability was given to him this year, and with out a doubt the same would go with Big Ben.

It's hard to believe that Philip Rivers is no longer considered top 5/6. He just doesn't seem to have it anymore. Never liked him because he just seems whiny to me, but I did think SD would contend for SB back when LT and VJax In their prime.

National opinion of QB's tends to go down when their team isn't winning. How many so called analysts have made rankings where Matt Ryan was higher than Drew? It's a nasty habit the media falls into far too often.

That being said, Rivers had a winning team handed to him on a silver platter. So it's not too surprising that once most of that team he inherited either left or were eventually past there prime; his numbers and winning % would drop.

Phillip Rivers still has it in him. I noticed this season that he had no type of motivation. He didn't have that fire he usually had. Dude is a great QB, and I will take a red thumb to admit he has elite skills, but something made him give up. I saw him on that field not even trying. SD needs some more changes, AJ Smith screwed things up real nasty. All the talent that SD has had over the years was wasted, and AJ was all to blame.

I don't think rivers has the right mentality to become elite, one way or another.

That said, last year the chargers' OL was simply ATROCIOUS. Downright embarassing, it would have been difficult for any qb to get something done with the kind of protection he was given
