I know we've all been talking about the mystery 3rd DC candidate.

Several including myself have thrown the name Keith Butler, the Steelers LB coach and Dick LeBeau disciple, as a candidate we'd like to see down here.

Turns out Indianapolis was going to hire him as their DC under Pagano/Arians last year, but the Steelers gave him a new, fat contract to keep him...and he stayed put in the Burgh.

I think this guy can probably be scratched off the list as much as it pains me to say it. He all but got a DC job last year and turned it down. He was considered the favorite for the job, having worked with Arians in Pittsburgh for several years.

LOL..yeah we cleared that one up yesterday. He has basically been promised the DC position after Dick Lebeau leaves.

The only chance we have is if he is tired of waiting. LeBeau could coach for the next 10 years.

It isn't likely that Butler is the 3rd guy (though it would be nice).

I think that the third guy is likely from the Ravens staff. Either Monachino or Austin. I think I like Austin more.

I think I read Monachino was staying put....

Monachino is indeed staying put...but not because he was denied interviews. Apparently we didn't request. He was a part of speculation for the Eagles Job but was never formally contacted.
