My first mock draft has us taking Dion Jordan out of Oregon. I am really high on this guy. I would take Ansah as well though. Let me know what you think.

15. New Orleans Saints – Dion Jordan DE – Oregon

The Saints need help all over defense and Jordan will give them the pass rush they need

Rest of the mock:
Mock Draft 1.0

I'd think Ansah has a higher ceiling than Jordan, so I would go Ansah if both were available.

Top 3-4 OLB
1. Damontre Moore
2. Jarvis Jones
3. Barkevious Mingo
4. Ezekiel Ansah
5. Dion Jordan

The pick will be one of those or Lane Johnson...

Are you aware the were switching to a 3-4 and all Jordan would play is OLB? So he's not a good fit on our defensive line.

With Cam, Bunk, and Hicks were pretty good with our defensive front.

To be honest, I thought he would do a mix of both depending on down and situation.

Yeah, I like both Ansah and Johnson as well. I love Jones too but his medical history scares me.

He'll be a stand up OLB in the 3-4 99% of the time. Would way rather Ansah over Jordan anyway. Switch them and I like our pick.

I think you have Ogletree too high. You also have alot of DTs going in the first but that's not as unlikely.

I like Jordan better, and think you made the right selection. He's more a more explosive and fluid pass-rusher, has better hips than Ansah, and is superior in coverage. Part of playing OLB 3-4 is being able to drop back into coverage; Ansah is decent in that regard when used in a zone scheme, but Jordan has safety-like coverage abilities.

Give me Jordan any day of the week!

Without a DC, I think it's impossible to accurately mock who the Saints will draft.

Thanks

And yes the DC will play a big role in who we choose

With Ryan I think we go secondary. Try to coax Spencer in to coming here.

Grantham I think we go LB. Possibly trade back and go secondary.

Tomsula I think we go LB and we bring in a DL player from SF.
