I know Ansah is a physical freak and played well in college but the kid is extremely raw and unless we will use him as a straight blitzer I'm just not sold on him yet. It's bad enough we already don't have a lot of players familiar with the 3-4 defense so adding another one in the first round that hasn't played much football to begin with just doesn't seem right. If we do draft him then I will welcome him to the family as I'm sure Payton, Ryan, and Loomis will have done their homework and put him through the ringer and liked what they saw. In that scenerio if Vaccaro, Johnson, Minter, Ogletree, Floyd, or Rhodes are there I'd pick one of them or trade back.

I think all our players who played under GW are familiar enough with the 3-4 considering the amount he ran it here. Especially in 2011.

I just dont see us drafting anyone but a DB in the first or OT if bushrod walks.

DB is far more important in Ryans scheme then a Blitzer

Well you can have the best dbs in the world but if there's no pressure to the qb they'll be picked apart anyway

Ansah and Galette play the same position...WOLB. So with this drat you are essentially stating that Galette isn't a starter.

There is no telling which direction the Saints will go. Ryan has to evaluate the current talent and protect who fits where. If he thinks that Galette and Wilson are starting OLB, Bunkley fits at NT, and that Harper and Jenkins are salvageable at safety...then I could see the Saints getting OL help or going BPA. Plus free agency will pretty much be set at that point...and our views of lots of positions might change.

Not to mention that the combine has not occurred yet.

We need a pash rush simple as that.

I want a nt or pass rusher. I'm 99.9% sure we will pick one or the other.

No offense, but I am not sold on Ansah. I just don't see what Ansah fans are seeing, I guess. Also, the level of competition that he played against was less than stellar.
