3rd installment of my film study. Had to take a break for Mardi Gras 
I wanted to focus on 3 players that I haven't really seen or read much about. So here we go.
Sheldon Richardson, DT Missouri
Games Watched: vs KY, vs Florida, vs Bama, vs Georgia
Sheldon Richardson | Draft Breakdown
The Good: Ok. I have to admit. I really havent paid much attention to Richardson. Jonathan Sullivan and Sed Ellis has soured me on 1st round DT's. I get scared of their bust potential, plus they seem to take a while to develop. Rarely are they immediate impact players. I've seen Richardson mocked to use plenty of times and I responded with a resounding 'MEH'. So I really went into his tape not expecting much. Boy was I wrong. This is a man. This guy's motor is on 100 at all times. I watched his tape vs Alabama, and Bama had like a 28 point lead and this guy is playing like the game is on the line. He sheds blocks well, explodes off the snap. Relentless with his motor. Constantly disrupting. Nifty at finding the gaps and penetrating the line. Awesome straight line speed for a man his size. Very good hand usage. Plays with good leverage most of the time. Strong at the point of attack. As impressive as he is vs the passing game he equally great vs the run. I dont think I've ever seen a DT so active down the field. If the run goes away from him (which it usually does, 9 times out of ten you will see him either making the tackle down field or in the pile up trying to make strip. Great closing speed! He disengages very quickly and keeps guys off of him. This guy was a man among boys. He dominates guards, double teams, and tackles. Did very well coming off the edge, and playing the 3 tech. Strong with room to grow.
The Bad: Needs a little polishing as far as technique. Sometimes gets so caught up in beating his guy that he loses track of the play. Probably can get better with leverage. Can play high sometimes which causes him to get pushed out of the way. Probably can add a little more weight.
NFL Projection: This guy can play the 3 tech DT or DE in a 3-4. He reminds me a lot of JJ Watt with how disruptive he is, especially when matched up vs a tackle. NON stop motor, he is fun to to watch. I wasn't really on board with him, but if he is around at 15 I'd take him in a heart beat. I am surprised he seems so underrated. He seems like a shoe in top 10 pick IMO. If I am missing something please let me know because I am not seeing it. Is it some off the field stuff or something?
Damontre Moore, DE/OLB Texas A&M
Games Watched: vs LSU, vs Alabama, vs LA Tech, vs Florida, vs Arkansaas
Damontre Moore | Draft Breakdown
The Good: He has good explosion off the snap, and is strong at the point of attack for a guy his size. Powerful and brings great effort on every play. Has some decent moves. Active with his hands and has long arms to keep linemen off him. He stacks well and moves around in traffic. Very good motor and wraps up well once he gets to you. Shows very good pursuit and relentlessness when the QB is in his sights. Will probably be better in the run game than he is in the passing game at the pro level.
The Bad: I must admit, I was somewhat disappointed. I've seen him mocked as a top 5 pick on the few mocks and was looking forward to seeing another Von Miller. That he is not. He is somewhat heavy footed. He does not have that elite first step you would look for and can play high at times. Doesn't really have many counter moves and if a OT can get his mits on him early he is nullified. Although he shows great hustles, he seems to lack really good closing speed. Although he made a lot of plays I kept feeling like he left a lot on the field also. I just wasn't "blown away". He reminds me of Justin Houston.
NFL Projection: I have no doubt he will be a good player. I think he will function better in space as a OLB in a 3-4, which was his original position before switching to DE. His motor and tenacity will go a long way for him. He has above average athleticism and the physical attributes that will only help him succeed in the league. He should be an impact player as a situational pass rusher in the NFL, but will need to be coached up on some of the little things like leverage, hand usage, etc. Doesn't have that great agility like Von Miller.
Shariff Floyd DT, Florida
Games Watched: vs Florida St., vs Texes AM, vs Vanderbilt
Sharrif Floyd | Draft Breakdown
The Good: Very strong at the point of attack, especially when he gets good leverage on his opposition. Above average motor for a man his size and is good at getting penetration. He anchors well and takes on blockers and does not give up much ground. Very good first step.Not an agile guy but his tenacity causes havoc in the backfield. When he comes down hill with his shoulders low, he cant be stopped, ridiculously powerful. He will get a good bit of sacks due to his tenacity and high motor, relentless in his effort. Good side to side and down hill movement skills. Good vs the run and disruptive in the passing game. Always down field making plays.
The bad: Not the most athletic guy. Has good short area quickness but not great at closing. Has leverage problems at times and can lose sight of his responsibilities. Can get caught on the cut blocks quite a bit. Not a really flexible guy and can look a bit stiff at times and QB's easily slide out of the way when he is closing in.
NFL Projection: He will need more coaching. He is a leverage and a "try hard" player who will probably rack up on coverage sacks and great effort plays. Very tenacious and hard working on the field. Reminds me somewhat of Sedrick Ellis college tape, and that is not a diss. Ellis was a beast at USC although Floyd lacks the pass rush moves. Probably can get stronger and get better on his bull rush. When he plays with great leverage, he is hard to stop, but he plays high too much and it takes away from his potential. Can play 5-tech and 3-tech, but he will probably excel at 3-tech in a 4-3 in my opinion, shooting the gaps and causing havoc in the backfield.
I enjoyed watching all these guys. Richardson was my favorite. I had no idea he was that much of an impact player. Moore was somewhat disappointing, not that he is a bad player, but Im just not sure he is a blue chip elite player. I think he will have a very successful career though with a couple of pro bowls. I dont see Floyd making an immediate impact, will need a little coaching and development, but looks to a be potentially a great DT for whoever picks him.
