Mayock just had like a 2 1/2 hour conf call with the media.

Here are a few tidbits from nfl.com
1. Mayock sees LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu (aka the "Honey Badger") as a fourth round prospect that probably won't test particularly well at the Combine. "He's a better football player than an athlete," Mayock said.
2. Mississippi State cornerback Jonathan Banks could lock up a first round pick with a sub 4.5 forty yard dash. Mayock only sees one surefire first round pick at cornerback and only has two wide receivers rated that high. Washington's Desmond Trufant could also lock down a first round pick with a big day. Alabama's Dee Milliner is locked into the first round, but a fast time could put him into the top ten.
3. BYU's Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah is going to go "earlier than later" in the first round according to Mayock, but he's "way more raw" than Jason Pierre-Paul a few years back. Ansah is potentially versatile enough to play defensive end in a 4-3 or a 3-4 defense. He could possibly play OLB in a 3-4 as well.
4. Mayock ranked six defensive tackles with first-round grades. He had the same number of offensive tackles with first round grades. Mayock also said this safety class is the best he's seen in a while, with special love going to Texas' Kenny Vaccaro.
5. Notre Dame Manti Te'o should be drafted around pick No. 20 based on his talent, according to Mayock. Ultimately, Mayock expects Te'o to go around that number.
That matches up with what Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff told the Rich Eisen Podcast on Monday. Te'o very much remains on the Falcons' draft board.

Mike Mayock: Tyrann Mathieu a fourth-round prospect | News | NFL.com

Oh, and I've been down on Mathieu and have said I wouldnt want him here (specifically because I feel there will be a lot of temptation here in N.O + thousands of dollars) but if he is there in the 4th or 5th round I'd take him. Dudes a football player.

I bet Manti Te'o goes in the 2nd round, no one wants their 1st pick with all the hype a teams #1 pick gets, to have that much drama going to them, less drama if he comes as a teams 2nd pick, regardless of talent that is where he will be taken

6. Mayock says Tennessee wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson would make sense at No. 12 for the Miami Dolphins. He's a bit of a risky pick, but he wowed Mayock on film.

True story...Patterson is a gamer for sure.

Tyrann Mathieu is such a tough call. He could probably become a very good nickle CB who can make big plays for a team. But, he could also end up violating the substance abuse policy to the point where he is out of the league. I suspect a lot of teams will have him off of their drafts boards and he could really fall way down in the draft because of it. When it comes down to time to pull the trigger even teams who did not take him off the board will hesitate and probably give the edge to another player who does not have all those issues.

if Te'o goes to Falcons at #20, i wouldnt mind.

You know how much fun we'd have with the Falcons if they did this? I want this to happen now. All the guys in the Dome can bring their fake/imaginary GF's with them. It would be wonderful!

Patterson oozes excitement. His change of direction for a man his size is unbelievable. He has blazing speed, very solid hands, and is a marvel to watch in the open field. If we did not have so many needs on defense, and the prospect of adding someone like Dion Jordan, then I would be all for getting Patterson.

What I found interesting was Mayock's statement that he wouldn't want a top ten pick this year and that picks 5 thru 25 were similar. This reinforces my belief that Ansah will not be available for us at 15 because some team will roll the dice on him before we get a chance to get him.

On the positive side, if a particular player falls to #15 that another team values highly, we may be able to drop back a few spots and still get a good player plus an extra pick. I'm thinking that a QB needy team will get antsy waiting to pick one and give us a call to make us an offer we won't be able to refuse.

I think his comparison of Ansah is like JPP but way more raw

I like Ansah but he will probably need a couple of years to develop before becoming a consistent contributor or starter
