That is what we need to get back to. I'm not saying we "just need to run the ball" but we need to balance it out a little better.

The first half of the season, we did a great job of mixing it up and executing efficiently on offense. Now we seem to be more one-dimensional and it is leading to turnovers. We are too good of a offensive team to rely on the pass this much.

I also think that we can start using Reggie on misdirection plays in the run game more again. We did it a couple of time today and it worked very well. I'd love to get back to making D coordinators sweat and guess again.

I like our gameplan, i LOVE the creativity of our passing game, but because we pass so easily we shouldnt rely on it, we know we can pass, so it shouldnt be all we do, Reggie got 10-15 carries but duece got 8 or 9 and we werent even losing it was like a 10-7 game or a 10-10 game, we should of been running the ball when we were inside the 10 on those 2 brees interceptions, but the passing game is so creative that we can have a 60-40 pass run ratio and win, but its when we pass and when we run that we need to correct.

I don't know, I think we are gravitating towards being a pass oriented vs balanced offensive attack. Like you said, it is not like we were down and out most of the game, so we could have worked a balanced attack. 52 passing attempts to 23 rushing is not anywere near balanced. I really think that if we mix it up a little better, it will make us more efficient again.

Not having Colston makes a HUGE difference. I would like to see us run the ball more, especially if he is not in the game. I don't trust Henderson or Copper to hang on to the ball.

Take away the three interceptions, add in 15-21 more points and this thread isn't created.

The point is if Drew isn't throwing 40+ attempts a game, he is less likely to throw INT's. If you start throwing twice as much as you pass, D's will pick up on that.

Look at our two best performances:

Home against ATL: PASS - 31 RUN - 33 (0 INTS)

On road against TB: PASS - 32 RUN - 29 (0 INTS)

And now our two worst losses:

BALT: PASS - 45 RUN - 29 (3 INTS)

CINC: PASS - 52 RUN - 23 (3 INTS)

It's just my opinion, but I think we are much more efficient on offense when we are balanced, and there is no reason why we can't be.

I'm getting annoyed with this pass happy attack. I'm fined if we pass more than we run, but teams will be catching on to that sooner or later. I'm under the impression that we are not a very good running team, our O-line isn't very good at run blocking, and that's why we are passing so much. We don't have much choice but to gameplan according to the strength of the O...passing.

I just don't know if I buy the fact that our O line can't run block, I've heard that also. Duece seems to be running the ball fine when he gets his touches, and Reggie has been improving a lot over the past two weeks. I just think for some reason we are straying away from the run a bit. Hopefully soon we will get back to keeping defenses on guessing and on their heels.
