It seems to be hard to find decent hip-hop that isn't blabbing on about $$$$$$$$ or drugs. But at least there's some good beats that are pretty mainstream. I hear these two songs on a weekly basis and I love the beats/samples. (technically, these are 2012 but cmon now it's early.)

It's hard to find good hip hop and you aren't helping by posting that Trinidad James video.

I do appreciate a good hip hop thread, but if its the beat you want us to focus on, then please try to post the beat and instrumentals only.A sorry rapper can destroy outstanding production. Trinidad James is another guy dumbing down an art that is already suffering. A$AP is aiight tho.

One more I think everyone can relate to. Just about every track from this guy is :9:

But Drake and 2 Chains are not.

Rather than sticking with 2013, here are some sweet old beats I've come across.

this track was recorded in 2012, but the video just came out last week. hes a local guy (my best friend/roommate), and he very regularly makes fun of mainstream $$$/gun/hoe rap.

its still too early in the year to post any standout stuff, but i will say that the new Joe Budden album made me very upset. Same with the Slaughterhouse album last year.

Might have to question your taste if you put up Asap Rocky. Otherwise, just look under your nose (February 2013?) .

You could always go hang out in the bomb shelter (1995/96)

Thats all I got.

Yeah, Nas and Hopsin are easily my favorite rappers, with Tech N9ne a close third (I'm white in Colorado; gimme a break). That's the only A$AP song I know and I just like that Trinidad beat.

The accent will probably go straight through you but I like this guy, puts a lot of passion into what he does
