I'm tired of seeing threads about Ivory needs to stay on the roster who cares if its on the bench, or Loomis not being a good GM. Lets all be honest the offseason threads suck. This thread probably sucks too, but lets give it a shot. So I ask the age old question. Name your top 10.

1. Otto Graham(his championships speak for themselves)

2. Joe Montana/Tom Brady(Its hard to even put one ahead of the other, and with all these other great qb's I had no choice.)

3. Sid Luckman

4. Johny Unitas

5. Drew Brees

6. Frank Tarkenton

7. Peyton Manning

8. Dan Marino

9. John Elway

10. Brett Favre

Only ranking guys i've seen play

1. Joe Montana, closest we ever got to Jordan's "take an A game to another level championship time/killer instinct" in the NFL

2. Tom Brady

3. Drew Brees

3a. Peyton Manning

5. Brett Favre

6. John Elway (this pains me as I never liked Favre and I loved Elway)

7. Steve Young

8. Dan Marino

9. Warren Moon

10. Jim Kelly

Brees needs 3 more Brees seasons and one more superbowl to be ahead of elway manning and.favre. Steve young would also need to be on that list.

I've seen Brady and Montana, Montana was better than Brady. Without question. More athletic, more mobile...and, of course, more Super Bowls, without losing any.

I can't argue pro or con of Montana vs Otto Graham. Completely different eras. Graham could've played in Montana's era, no question, but wouldn't have won the same number of championships, although I'm sure he would've competed for them and would've won his share. This isn't to diminish Otto Graham's accomplishments...I was going to mention that Brees is not #5 all time, but out of respect for the SR board I will keep that opinion to myself. :)

Wherever you rank Brees doesn't matter as long as he gets the title of most prolific QB of all time:9:

Stats wise Brees saints career is unmatched. Too bad he didnt.play with payton day 1. He'd smashed every record by now.

I'm sorry but since they have the same number of SBs under their belts, i can't put yet brees ahead of manning. Yes manning is better during the regular season than the playoffs we all know that firsthands, but still, he's got monster numbers and he's been elite for so many years. As a football player I love the guy (ain't really his fault if the so-called experts gave the mvp to him instead than to drew eh). Jmo..

All time is too hard to do. To be fair, they should go by decades.

80's - Joe Montana
90's - Steve Young
2000's - Tom Brady
2010's - Drew Brees

The current elite QB notables in the league...

1. Drew Brees- most prolific QB of all time
2. Tom Brady- 3 rings, 50 TDs in a single season
3. Peyton Manning- most league MVPs
4. Aaron Rodgers- best all time passer rating king

Not enough respect for Marino on this list. Or even Dan Fouts.

The championship thing always clouds these discussions and is weighted too heavily. It matters, just not as much as everybody wants it to. Too many factors in football. If a guy choked away some championships, that's relevant. Otherwise it should matter less.

And the 49er QBs always get too much respect. They were running a system that took defenses years to catch up to. I think Elvis Grbac had better stats than Steve Young when he filled in for him. Montana did well in Kansas City and obviously deserves to be on this list, but Young never proved that he deserved to be top ten all time.

Anyway, I feel like I'm posting in troll thread. What am i doing.
