The Chiefs are in good shape. New coach, some great players like Charles, Bowe and Hali.. Plenty of cap space, #1 overall pick in the draft... Andy Reid is walking into a gold mine.. The Chiefs will have major improvements next year. And possibly for years to come. I see good things in the future for KC.

The other 40% was Matt Cassel. Alex Smith is a slight upgrade over Cassel.. Not much, but still an upgrade IMO.

Not to mention that they play in the AFC West. They could easily beat the Raiders and Chargers twice (forget about beating the Broncos). That's a possible 4 victories right there. Also, shouldn't they have a pretty favorable schedule as well?

Andy Reid make Kolb, Freely, and a few others look like real qb's, and they had nowhere the amount of talent that Alex Smith has. Alex Smith is going to do very well for the Chiefs, and Andy Reid just walked into one of the best situations in football period.

This! Smith under Reid will be very good. Not to mention the fact KC has some weapons on offense to utilize.

They lost Winston but in an effort to build a younger, better line (because their o-line wasn't great to begin with) they had to make that move. If they take the kid from A&M that will be a huge step in the right direction.
