He was easily their best WR last year and given he was a UDFA and got an original tender he will be getting a lot of offers

This is definately a bone head move. Chargers will lose him.
 
Players acquired from the Chargers have been good to us.
 
This is smart. No one is going to sign him to an un-matchable offer. Too great of an injury risk.
 
Either its incredibly dumb or sneaky smart. If Denario plays under a 2nd round tender & stays healthy playing the way he did last season he would be in line for a huge contract.

I don't think anybody is going to give him that type of money this offseason so the Chargers should be able to match a long term offer from another team.

That was Dante Rosario. I forgot that McMichael was still playing. Lol I remember when he was one of the better TE's in the league when playing for Miami.

I thought I might be wrong about that. That's why he's dispensable, Rosario and Greene can fill that void.
