Who are they now??

@AdamSchefter: Former Falcons CB Brent Grimes reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. Best remaining CB off the board.

On the falcons forum they see to be happy he's gone. I'd it something we don't know are their trying to hide there true feelings??

If he gets used and abused this year, will his fans be man enough to admit he was overrated.

If he stays healthy and plays at a top level, I will finally give props

The falcons never really expressed too much interest in him; on the other hand we should be happy he chose miami as Tampa did and losing out on him ties their hands for their 1st rounder and/or gives the jets more leverage in the Revis deal.

Pretty sure the birds made a offer, Miami just offered more. Grimes ain't bout that championship life. He's only in it for the cake

hahahhahhahahhaha THAT CHAMPIONSHIP LIFE! its insane how delusional and entitled their fanbase is.

Good. I was hoping the Clowns wouldn't resign him. Grimes is a really good CB whose only problem is that he can't stay healthy. He makes up for lack of size with ridiculous athleticism.

Their secondary went from terrible to terribad (ya, lame I know)!

Honestly, losing Grimes won't be as noticeable as everyone thinks. He wasn't on the field last year, and we did ok. I think everyone here is overvaluing Dunta Robinson. Dunta got burned SO many times that the loss of him in free agency only hurts because we don't have another body to step up. Right now, our corners are (not great):

CB Asante Samuel
CB Robert McClain
CB Peyton Thompson
CB Dominique Franks
CB Terrance Johnson

-----------------------

Asante and McClain will be the starters, and we will most likely be looking at corner with pick #30. Perhaps the Falcons will make a small move to get another vet corner in to lessen the blow, because outside of McClain and Samuel, I am not sure those other guys are even ready to be off the practice squad.

----------

Our CB situation wasn't great last year, and it's not great this year.

Grimes can jump out the gym. I remember Brees trying to throwing over the top of Grimes and ended up being a ridiculously athletic int. Glad he's gone.

He had an absolutely incredible vertical prior to his injury. However, he will be 30 when the season starts, and he is coming off a very bad achilles tear. Nobody knows how well he will rebound from that injury, but he's got age against him.
