Someone may get a major bargain in Da'Rick Rogers. (Getty Images)
Every year, right after the draft is over, NFL teams get on the phone with hundreds of kids who didn't hear their names called during the actual selection process. For any number of reasons, there are times when teams miss out on potential, or develop it later, and benefit from the ultimate bargain score -- the undrafted player who turns into a starter -- and, on occasion, a Pro Bowl or Hall of Fame-level asset. From Kurt Warner to John Randle to Rod Smith to Antonio Gates to Wes Welker to London Fletcher and on and on, there's always enough of a chance that a few of these payers will hit on the bigger gamble to make them worth monitoring.
Here, based on what we've seen, are the best players still left standing once the 2013 NFL draft was done, and the teams they've signed with in parentheses.

2 Saints signees on the list. :9:

Not too shabby. As always, Mickey, Sean and the organization have a knack for finding potential talent after the draft is done.

Rogers is a headcase. There is a good reason why he went undrafted.

What's different from him and Honey Badger? there talent is about the same, I've read he is better than the 2 Tenn. receivers that got drafted.
Mathieu smokes pot, Rogers smokes pot. Mathieu is a good kid who happens to have a drug problem, Rogers is just a jerk with a bad attitude from what I've read.

I agree with you about Rogers being a jerk with a bad attitude, but I have to disagree with Mathieu is a good kid with a drug problem. If he was a good kid he wouldn't have a drug problem. It's just a shame to see these kids with all this talent to be great and waste it being stupid.

You can be a good kid and have a drug problem.

By this point in time you have to marvel at the reputation that the Saints have built as an UdFA land of opportunity. I don't know if they have developed this strategy on purpose, but the fact that many undrafted players have stuck in New Orleans throughout the years is now paying of in a big way. No wonder two second to fourth round prospects who slid ended up in NOLA. The Saints even have the luxury of drafting small school prospects and then picking up solid players after the seventh round.
