This guy is NFL ready now, I believe better than Peterson, who hads been injury prone. They are extremely similar in size and running style. The draft experts said Bush was a once in a lifetime back that only comes along every 20 years or so. Well I am declaring McFadden that guy now. He is going to make an NFL team very happy in two years. The most impressive thing today was the pass he rifled in there. Most backs throw balls up for grabs, this guy stood in there and stepped into the throw and threw a strike. I am not looking forward to playing him next year, especially if we were to start out 11-0 and have achance at the NC.

Early in the seaon I'd considered McFadden a poor man's Adrian Peterson. Not anymore; though I don't think McFadden has the power of Peterson, he makes up for it with elusiveness and versatility. If healthy, McFadden wins the Heisman next season.

I'm stickin with Steve Slaton. McFadden gets my props though.

I like Mike Hart as well, but I give the edge to McFadden on being more successful at the next level.

Speaking of his pass, did you see his stats on passing this season? What was it, 6 for 6? Incredible player.

<--- Was on the McFadden bandwagon early last year.

McFadden and Jones were definitely helped by 1) that offensive scheme and 2) each other. No way either of those two go over 100 yards if only one of them are playing. LSU was forced to defend two very good running backs, each of which was either handing off the ball, running with the ball, throwing the ball, pitching the ball. etc. They should just ditch the QB altogether.

No kidding. I can't believe we didn't run the Wildcat formation when it was 4th and 2 or 3 and Dick got sacked......

That was the ball game.......

just plain terrible strategy at the end.

they should have run that option play 4 times.

Yeah, I really don't know what went through their heads there. "Hey, we haven't been able to pass all game, so they'll never see it coming!". Really poor playcalling.

Amendment to my last post: With McFadden and Jones last year, LSU held McFadden to 57 yards on 24 carries for the game. Also, last year Dick was 12-for-28 for 148 yards.
