Hope this helps...

Why get rid of Harbaugh?
It was mutual. This wasn’t just the 49ers' decision.

Did you not see the press release that Jim and I put out together?

I’ve had conversations with Jim; it was a mutual decision... You can ask Jim if you want. I sat down with him as we put together a press release. I don't know what else to tell you.

Winning isn’t the only thing that matters. Winning with class is what matters.

Off-field issues
Collectively, it was all of our fault.

It’s equally on me, Jim and Trent.

Why was Jim the one to take the fall?
You’ve asked me that, like, 17 times already.

[It was mutual.] If you refuse to believe that, I can’t help you.... This wasn’t an easy decision for me and it wasn’t an easy decision for Jim.

On Jim’s relationship with Trent Baalke
I would assume if he wanted to stay he’d have a pretty good relationship with Trent...

Trent and I are philosophically aligned with what we want to do with this team.

On the media leaks
I have no idea [where they came from].

I don’t know if that’s reason we were counterproductive on the field.

We talk about leaks all the time. It's just not something we tolerate.

You can go through people’s emails, you can go through people’s text messages — that’s just not something I’m going to do.

I don’t speak to Jay Glazer, I don’t speak to Deion Sanders — I don’t speak to those people.

I didn’t leak anything to those people — period.

You can suppose and guess on who that is. There are a lot of people connected to this organization.

What were the ‘philosophical differences'
Jim and I had those conversations. Those were personal conversations — those are not conversations we’re going to talk about.

[They were about] football philosophy.

I realize that’s a lame answer. I understand that fans want every single detail, I understand that you want every detail — and I’m not going to throw Jim under the bus, I respect him too much.

On the Thanksgiving tweet
How is it a power play?

I explained the tweet yesterday.

Super Bowl standard for the next coach — too high a bar?
If a coach doesn’t understand that our standard is winning a Super Bowl, then he’s not the right coach for the 49ers.

If we can replace Bill Walsh who won three Super Bowls…

How to hold you accountable
You’re trying to give me a verbal tongue lashing now. I’m not sure what else to tell you in how to hold me accountable.

I’d love to hear from fans... if you have suggestions for me… you can let me know. And you can decide the best form for you to communicate that to me.

...Nothing I say is going to appease you

Add another voice?
We’ll do anything to help this team to get better and to win.

Was there more to the interview than that recap above? If not, York's answers seemed ridiculously out of proportion to the questions being asked. Either way, he comes across as a complete fool, which is not surprising since he poisoned his team's well before its season was really even off the ground.

Yes there was more to the interview. That was the brief synopsis given on the radio site, but the actual interview went into much greater detail. It was obvious the host was upset about Harbaugh leaving and let York have both barrels. In a professional interview sort of way.

Cool. He still seems like a fool either way (and this coming from someone who cannot stand Harbaugh). It's not so much that he got rid of him, it's the way he got rid of him. I guess time will tell whether York's "vision" was worth a **** or not.

York comes off as completely tone deaf there, but I do like his answer to the "hold him accountable" idiocy that seems to be climbing the ladder of angry fan cliches.

I enjoyed it when he brought up "winning isn't everything, winning with class is." Murphy then says "Were you not winning with class?" He had Jed against the ropes at that point. Basically Jed blames the off field issues on Harbaugh.

Basically something happened behind closed doors with Harbaugh and the 49ers organization. Something that got my attention was when York said that he wouldn't release this to the media, he told Harbaugh that he would not make it public and it wouldn't be fair to address it publicly because other people in the organization would be impacted and other people's families will be impacted.

Then York goes on to say it wasn't anything besides football related.

Then York says that he didn't feel like they were winning with class and they wanted to return to winning with class. Then shares the blame with everyone else in the organization.

Then York says that it was a mutual decision.

He's all over the map.

If there was a private incident behind closed doors then I have no problem with York not releasing the information. If he did we would all be blasting him for airing dirty laundry.

The reality is York should have never done this interview.
