Glenn Giullbeau with Gannett New Services was just on Fourth Down on Four and he is predicting LSU will go to the Rose Bowl. In fact, he said he has already made his reservations in Pasadena. I think it would be awesome. He thinks LSU and Michigan, and pointed out that LSU and Michgan have NEVER played each other before, LSU has NEVER been to the Rose Bowl, and that the Rose Bowl hasn't hosted a SEC team since the 1940's. I think it would be fantastic if LSU goes to the Rose Bowl (keeps fingers crossed). We'll find out this coming weekend....

That would be an impossible game for me. LSU is my favorite SEC team; Michigan, my Big 11. Inform me that UCLA and NC State are also meeting in a bowl game and I'd completely go sour. =|

I hope we get in. Right now it looks very good unless Arkansas beats Florida. 3 SEC teams can't get bids.

If Florida wins we are in. If they lose we could be the odd team out even with a higher ranking. Bowl games are about money and if they believe that Florida's alumni will spend more money than ours we could be out.

I'd love to see LSU beat the tar out of that team up north. Just be sure to break Hart's legs. In several places.

OK. I know this may be off topic but I still don't understand how in the world LSU is ranked number 5. Now, before I say this let me get something straight with you ... I hate Auburn and I have no SEC ties .... but Auburn has the same record as LSU, has beaten LSU and Florida, but they are ranked 11 and LSU is ranked 5. Let's see what ranked teams LSU has beaten ... Tennessee without their starting QB and an Arkansas team that was caught looking ahead at the SEC championship. And to reitorate, LSU (10-2) lost to Auburn (10-2), but is ranked higher.

The reason is because of WHEN each team got their losses. Traditionally, the later you lose the more it hurts you in the BCS. LSU got their losses early, won out, and watched teams ahead of them lose and fall behind them.

I don't agree with it, but that's how the system works and if they stop following the system, they have to create a new one (not going to happen anytime soon).

LSU's problems have been marked by their inconsistencies. When they play mistake-free, no one can hang. No one. The problem is that they're never mistake-free. Hopefully with a month to prepare, get everyone healthy, gameplan, eliminate the mental errors, etc. they can come out like they did against Miami last year when no one was giving LSU much of a chance to win, much less blow out the Hurricanes.

If the play Michigan mistake-free, Michigan loses. I like LSU's odds, especially if the game is close. I'll take Jamarcus in the final two minutes over any other QB in the country.

I agree. JaMarcus needs to be more careful with the ball when running. Keiland Williams needs to get the bulk of the carries too. I'll be there, so hopefully they can hold onto the damn ball.

We'll see what happens. Talent wise, LSU is good. But, they've been their own worst enemy most of the year (at least when playing good teams).
Even against Ark, we had 2 stupid fumbles when we're driving for points.
One thing that has gotten better as the year progressed is the OL. There at least creating some holes now. I do agree that K.Williams needs to get more carries. He's clearly the best RB we have this year.
Defensively, this team needs rest and needs to get healthy. While I don't think their a great defense, I do think their very good. But, Beckwith and Highsmith must be healthy and ready to go to beat Mich.

Mich v LSU could be one of (if not) the best games of all the bowls. For as poorly as LSU has played in stretches, they're always going to be there. Hell, even in the Fla game (a 23-10 loss), LSU had numerous chances to still win that game late. To turn the ball over 5 times (plus the muffed KO for a Safety) and still be in the game, on the road, against a top 5 team is unbelievable.

Les Miles with a month to prepare will manage to make LSU even worse than they already are.
