Final Score 16-9, well ok that's not too bad score wise.

Defensively as a whole I didn't think we did too bad. Got some good pressure on the QB at times and also had some nice pass break ups. However we again missed out on a pick six. Overall only allowing 16 points will allow us to win most of the time and also it could have been less if we didn't turn the ball over after forcing the Texans to go 3 and out in their opening drive.

Offensively, it seems like we struggle at times in the preseason but always seem to turn it on when the regular season comes around and when the dress rehearsal comes about. So I'm not too worried. The only thing that concerns me is the offensive line. We looked terrible at times tonight. I know we struggle with the Texans d-line but at times we looked really bad. But then again, somehow we turn it on in the regular season and like I mentioned in the defensive part, only allowing 16 points should give us a good amount of wins.

I think we'll be fine moving on from tonight. My only question is can the o-line gel in time for September 11th? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

The offensive line was horrendous. I mean horrible. Nightmare horrible. Letting them get a good hit on the Drew Brees, even it was a penalty, probably made Sean ready to kill someone. Line can't open lanes for the runners. Linemen are constantly pushed back and 2 or 3 guys able to get some kind of penetration on each and every play. Turnovers and drop balls and all the miss opportunities in the world. We have issues. Not going to sugar coat this any longer. Call it like I see it now.

I know we've looked really bad in the past during preseason with the o-line but always seem to be at least decent come regular season at least.

I have never seen our QBs run around as much in a game than I did tonight. I've seen us struggle with run blocking in the past, but never seen pass protection this poor since Payton took over.

I will be honest. I have never seen it this bad. If given a chance watch every snap with the offense on the field. You can see at least 2 or 3 good penetrations from their defense.

What the hell have they been doing for the last month, playing golf?

Seriously. What happened to that really intense training camp that was going to make this team tough? I even saw veteran players in interviews saying they had never been in a training camp this intense before. Maybe they are just tired.

Texans had a top three defense last year... Just sayin. And having said that I agree our OL looks horrible

Simple. Guards. Guard play always made this offense progress because of Brees height. And he was never really a scrambler. The constant shuffle across the line to see where Peat fits is not helping. They really need to find a spot for the complete line and let them jell. I don't know what they are doing with all the position moves consistently. By the way I'm in Ponchi. Hi neighbor.

Our guard play has to improve. I'm confident in Armstead, Strief, and Unger but our guards gotta get it together fast.

and we will do nothing about the Guard play and enjoy it. forget that noise, sounds like previous seasons.

we HAVE to go someone via trade/FA now. if not, expect the same results.
