Haven't had time to really check it out. Anybody know of any kicking battles going on around the league, where a better kicker than what we have might get let go? Kind of like what Washington did with us last year.

Forbath has looked better in practice and Barth has looked better in games. It's all by a very slim margin though.

Yeah I'm thinking it's gonna be Barth. Just watching them in the past, I would tend to trust Barth more. We'll see how the rest of preseason goes.

As of right now I'd say Barth is the safe choice. I also have come to terms that we just aren't going to get it right at kicker under Payton. The sooner you come to terms the better your life will be.

All that being said, there probably IS going to be a solid young kicker out there that gets cut but I don't see the Saints making a move.

Was hoping to see what Fairbarn had with the Texans, but he had a calf injury and did not play. He was arguably the 2nd best kicker in the draft behind Aguayo.

I'm with you on this on B-Train. I came to terms with this one a long time ago. I just roll with it and hope for the best.

Im hoping we don't have to watch forbath's knuckle ball all season.

Barth is more of a John Carney type kicker. I think he will be consistent without the big leg.

I thought for certain we'd ink him after the draft.

Either we didn't give him a ring, were too busy calling all the OL and CBs we got, or Texans just were quicker.

both have been great now that Morstead is back to holding.

McCown was the main problem with the missed kicks, and the team FINALLY realized it

Never thought about that. Will be watching that closer as the preseason goes on.
