Every game you set out with something to look for during the game (besides a win or a loss). What will you be watching for in tonights game?

I will be watching the oline with an eye on how the do in run blocking (and pass blocking) while the 1s are in. Sadly (and surprisingly) it looks like the oline will be our weakest spot, so I am hoping that we can look better than we have the past two games.

I'll be watching everything but the o-line.

Oline is going to play much better, they are now at home so they should start gelling. I will be watching Fairley and PJ Williams mostly. I think if those guys play well again this week, then we may have a pretty solid D this year. I will also be watching the DE opposite Cam, Edabali looks good there, but who else will be challenging for that spot.

On Offense. It would be nice to see some more chemistry with Brees and the receivers. If I remember correctly from last year this took a while to happen. I am not worried about Cooks and Snead, but concerned about Coleman and Thomas. Can Thomas play well when it gets closer to counting time.

Also can Ingram make some things happen with this Oline and there run blocking. . . .

Focusing on the D line, secondary and special teams. Antonio Brown is playing so this will be another good test for Breaux.

No turnovers (hopefully Murphy bounces back).

O-line, running game, in sync offense, Coleman and lastly, the return game.

Color me intrigued by this matchup as well, but tell me, does Breaux shadow the opponents best wr like Pat Peterson, or is he like Richard Shermin and only handle one side of the field.

If he shadows him, thats one thing, if he doesn't, I look forward to seeing how our other cbs cover Brown as well. What a great test for the guys.

several overreaction threads regarding the o-line

a couple of threads freaking out if brees is gonna sign in the next two weeks

a thread or two about the demise of our once dominant offense

more threads about how terrible we are at drafting and why more young players aren't ready to dominate the universe

who's eating what thread

several threads freaking out over an injury before any details are released

a thread about how cool the new stadium displays are

a thread about how terrible the stadium audio still is

and i'll certainly be watching all the children "swimming" around in circles, flailing their arms about with uncorroborated nonsense and ridiculous conjecture, wishing they would just drown already

1. Oline- I would like to see some kind of improvement regardless of how minute.
2. The defense- how the 1st unit plays their first unit.
3. Does Coleman step up or does Tommylee solidify his spot

I am ready!!!

Gonna throw in PJ and how he performs as well.

I know it is popular to focus on the OL as it is the biggest unknown, but my interest will be on the defense once again. I want to see Breaux or ? vs Brown AND how much pressure we can get on Big Ben. For this team to get past 7-9 we have to have a defense that contributes to more possessions for the offense and keeps teams out of the end zone a whole lot more than the last few years.
Also keeping my fingers crossed that we do NOT have any major injuries that will keep a starter(s) out of the Oakland game.
