Seahawks @ Saints Hawk fan needs some advice (1 Viewer)

Hey guys first I want to say thank you for activating my account and I totally come in peace not looking to trash talk or anything, well atleast not right but I was hoping for some advice from season ticket holders and others that go to Saints game and that know the dome.

Anyways my wife and I along with a couple others are flying down from Seattle in October to attend the game, everything is booked minus game tickets. We've been in the market for 3 months now but still can't figure out where we wanna sit. My main question for everyone is, as far as Home and visitor sides do opposing team fans normally sit on the visitor side in the dome or is it more so random. Reason why I ask is the tickets we have been eyeing for awhile are in Sec 635 which is on the Saints home side. Knowing there will be 99% Saints fans there, I just wanted to make sure they would be some type of Hawk friendly faces around if you know what I mean.

Looking online through various Facebook Seahawkers travel groups there's a ton of Hawk fans going and I mean a ton, but all seem to be sitting 600 endzone and all the way to the top , and that's exactly where I don't want to sit, I hate the endzone view. Funds are limited so we will be in the 600's for sure if that helps. If any of you can give me some advice I would really appreciate it. Looking forward to this trip, it has been on my mind since April Halloween in NOLA (never been) and I get to watch my team you cannot beat that. Look forward to seeing you guys GO HAWKS !!

Judging by the performance this team has had in the offseason, by October tickets should be readily available anywhere you want to sit. The Seahawks defense will absolutely destroy the Saints offensive line. I mean that literally, some of the players lives are in danger including Drew Brees. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

Probably will be a boring game for you. Nothing like the battles we used to have. But there is the city to go celebrate in after your victory.
 
From my experiences there's usually a spattering of opposing fans throughout. Almost all Saints fans are fun to be around. Just as long as you aren't obnoxious and trying to start anything you'll have a great experience. Have fun!

I know here in Seattle opposing team fans usually sit on the visitor side but I always thought home and visitor sides just referred to the side of the field the team was on not fan seating, idk I could be wrong. I just don't want my wife freaked out cause the nearest Hawk fan will be 7 sections over
 
I've lived in NOLA and now I live in Washington. I've been to saints and Seahawks games and I can tell you that both are a great time. I love the atmosphere at both stadiums. Of course I'm a little biased but I do prefer the overall environment of the Superdome especially nowadays. I've never seen or really heard of anyone having any issues from opposing fan bases in NOLA and people generally seem to have a very good time. Enjoy the city, culture, and the game. Just remember as with anywhere that a little good natured riffing is okay but just don't be a ****** and you'll be alright.

My wife and I are going as well (I posted here a couple of months ago).

I would like to stay around or under ~ $300/ticket so I think I am going to wait a couple of weeks into season. Right now $300 (or so) gets a between the 30s seat in the 500 or 600 level or the 10 yard line in the lower level. I am just going to get the best seat I can find and hope for the best as far as fans sitting around me.

I have noticed that the Seahawks game seems to be the most expensive on the resale market for Saints home games...maybe because so many of us are going?

Well, I mean there isn't really much more to give advice on.


  • Opposing team fans are always splattered throughout, there's no designated area where a large amount of opposing teams' fans sit. Even our visiting team ticket allotments are randomly spread out so unless you buy your tickets from the Seahawks from our visiting team allotment, you'll be buying them from Saints season ticket holders online. It's just a crapshoot to whether: a.) you're buying tickets in a location where other Seahawks fans are buying tickets from other Saints season ticket holders, or b.) if you're buying tickets that are around Saints season ticket holders that attend games regularly and don't sell their tickets.

  • You'll have an enjoyable time as long as you're not obnoxious. So when your team scores or has success, by all means cheer, but always be in good taste. A general rule of thumb is if you wouldn't like opposing fans doing it at the CLink, don't do it in someone else's house. Some Steeler fans last night didn't seem to understand that as they were all too excited to trash talk and be annoying at a pre-season game between two 0-2 teams thus far.

  • Once she's there and experiences it first hand, your wife should become much more relaxed regardless if you're sitting amongst your brethren Seahawk fans or if you guys are surrounded by a sea of Saints fans. This isn't Candlestick we're talking about. If needed, 99.9% of Saints fans will give you the shirt off their back. Whether you want to wear a Brees jersey or not is your decision, but you won't get stabbed solely for what color shirt you're wearing. :hihi:

As far as tickets our budget is around 200, we can afford about 100-150 more but the couple that are traveling with us cannot so were gonna have to go with a little less. There a ton and I mean a ton of Hawk fans traveling to this particular game. We try and travel to one away game a year for the last 3 yrs and this was a no brainer, Halloween in Nawlins and watch our hawks this was a no brainer.

Oh yeah do keep in mind if you wait until a couple weeks into the season to purchase tickets for this and both teams are doing really well, your 300 dollar ticket might be 450, I've seen it happen to many times. Also if your not familiar with the Midwestern Seahawkers get familiar with them because they are who is throwing this huge Sat night Seahawks party at this bar on Bourbon the night before and having a tailgate on game day. Our OL is bad. Bree's might be hurt by then. He won't make the season with this OL
