No Man's Sky [releases 6/21/2016] (1 Viewer)

Well since beating the game doesn't actually beat the game and it just warps you back to the beginning of the game people may be interested in seeing their "creations" again. People believed that other people would some day get to visit a planet and see their 'creations'. Since that was the only creative part of the game that allowed players to make their mark I can see why people would be angry over this.

So many complaints about this game Steam is offering free refunds to people with considerable playtime. People with more than 12 hours in game are getting refunds etc. It's pretty unprecedented.

NMS sounding like a case of....
You'll still hit it but instead of a soft place to lay your head, you get a knee in the eye.

The final nail in the coffin... people are reporting that all their discoveries are being erased. So all the hours spent discovering plants and creatures and coming up with clever names for them are wasted. No Man's Sky will go down in infamy. :smilielol:

If you discover something and die before you "upload" it, it disappears. Not sure why that's the case.

EDIT: Though I'm now seeing other posts like this, so its most likely not what I described.

When you restart, though it's a whole different galaxy with different planets, so you can only go back to Euclid by deleting your saves.

EA will pick up the IP on the cheap and we'll get No Man's Sky in 2018 with four planets and a season pass.

over hyped Indie Game with top level marketing for 60 bucks.

Now go play Rimworld for 30 bucks with only word of mouth marketing.... a game in alpha format still a couple years from official 1.0 release. I am around 130 hours of play time.

See this is the true pleasure of PC gaming, it isn't the fancy orgasmic graphics. It is finding Gems during the development process and getting to experience the game's growth as it is created.
