"DE/OLB Paul Kruger is scheduled to visit the Saints on Tuesday after being released by the Browns. The Saints made a strong push to sign Kruger in 2013, and their interest makes sense again, since coach Sean Payton listed the pass rush as one of New Orleans' biggest concerns following Friday's preseason loss to the Steelers."

He was a 3-4 Defensive End... So, stats aren't going to look favorable. posted 11 sack year in 14. 2.5 last year. He's a pass Rusher, but father time might caught up to him. I hope he post a favorable workout tomorrow.

The new defensive coaching staff has been studying tapes of Paul Kruger, trying to find the right spots for the outside linebacker. Kruger played for Horton in 2013, and had only 4.5 sacks. He was good against the run. He exploded for 11.0 sacks in 2014 in Mike Pettine's defense. Then in 2015, Pettine had Kruger more in pass coverage, and he had a miserable season with 2.5 sacks and wasn't effective defending the run.
