I think the guy must have just really wowed them at the tryout. His makes on his highlight video look impressive, but that's a HIGHLIGHT tape. That doesn't show the 15 or however many misses he's had.

If we wanted to carry two kickers, why not hold onto Barth, who hadn't really done anything to screw up?

I am so lost.

Not really much margin of difference between Barth and Forbath. Very slight edge to Barth on career percentages. Ability, range, accuracy - overall they are very similar. Essentially would have been doubling up on the same guy.

There must be something more to this, but hard to say without more information.

He was cut from the Ravens (so a free agent) and signed to our practice squad.

Confidence has nothing to do with me waiting. I'm just not about to react to things outside of context.
