Brees Agrees To Contract Extension

5 year extension. On ESPN contains void to two years. Per ESPN

These automatically voiding contracts are so weird to me. We did something similar with Fairley right? I guess I don;t understand how the automatically voided years are beneficial to anyone.

Like it - It allows us to re-evaluate after the dreaded QB age 38 season.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Saints?src=hash">#Saints</a> got what they wanted, not having to commit long-term to Brees. Kudos to Brees for settling for less than Max value.</p>&mdash; Mike Triplett (@MikeTriplett) <a href="https://twitter.com/MikeTriplett/status/773604199237980160">September 7, 2016</a></blockquote>

These automatically voiding contracts. I have to think the NFL will stop letting us do them before long. They seem too powerful.

Loomis, you magnificent money finding child born out of wedlock!
