Starting with Kruger, addressing the pass rush specialist problem.
All out cuts cleared waivers so we got the practice squad you wanted off out training camp roster.
You signed a six time Pro Bowler at guard at your terms to address the guard issue.
Sean got the dream kicker he's always wanted?
And Drew Brees signed a cap friendly deal to give you more cap space to work with.

Now if Grayson clears waivers and signs to our practice squad, and Willie Snead signs a new contract with some of the new cap space, I think you can relax a bit.

Unless of course you have more tricks up your sleeve.

I farted with excitement, but it was a release from all the butt clinching I have been doing after our last preseason game so now me and my butt can breathe a little

Signing a guy that went to the pro bowl 6 times does not mean you picked up a pro bowl caliber guard.

Last year he was about even with Lelito. Lelito is moving into his prime, you have you assume he got marginally better. Evans is on the wrong side of age and injuries, so you have to assume he's worse than last year.

It's likely the move improved the back-up situation, but the starting situation is exactly the same as it was yesterday before he resigned.

It was a photo finish, that's for sure. Isn't it always? Can't wait for Sunday! We're on to Oakland :hihi:

Let's start this thing up!!!! Who Dat! Bring on dem Raidah's !!!!

I just disagree with your position. We offered Evans, but he declined the offer. We didn't dump or cut Evans. His skills are surely deteriorating with his age, but that doesn't mean he's no good. We offered him a deal, let's wait and see who Jahri is. I think he just improved our Oline.
Just my opinion

I can understand that Evans played hurt his last couple of years with the team. Although he likely has declined due to age and injuries, I could see how, if healthy, he may be better than when he last played with us. What gives me pause and concern is that if there is a team with more concerns with their line it is Seattle. They cut him. If he is healthy and anywhere near his probowl form, wouldn't they have kept him?

I can see how people believe that he can not be worse than Lelito and they are probably right. I'm willing to wait and see how he does before completely cringing about the signing; however I would be lying if I didn't say I'm still very apprehensive about the RG position.

I'll give the front office props they did a respectable job to improve the team the week before the season starts.

From what I understand from listening to a guy in Seatle is that their scheme is totally different than ours and he was a little late picking it up. He started to pick things up better around the 3rd preseason game but it was too little to late.

Had he signed in April or May he maybe would have been their starter. Just going off what I heard from some Seatle pundits.
