Wow... Every media outlet predicting us to lose by 10+ at home. (1 Viewer)

The raiders aren't going to implode, and neither is Carr. I think he starts the year well, just not as well as the Saints do.

Saints 28-17.

The Raider are getting pretty overrated all of a sudden.

Carr might imploded this year, and I wouldn't be surprised.

Why Derek Carr's late-season slump should concern the Raiders heading into 2016 - CBSSports.com

They must have watched the preseason games like the rest of us. Granted I believe there is a real chance of us turning things around, but I just don't think we are there yet. I hope I'm wrong and we come out firing on all cylinders. I definitely think we will improve as the season moves along, I just don't know what to expect out of the gate, best part is ..... We don't have to wait much longer to see.

It could happen. I could see a 10 point loss or worse. But will it happen? Only time will tell. I see the Saints winning by 10

I think this game competive: they have a better roster then us. They don't have a lot of film what we doing on defense and were at home. Game will be close.

Every media outlet? I haven't been paying attention to most of them but PK and Jim Miller on Sirius MTC said the game was probably going to be something along the lines of 33-30, with either team winning. "Gonna be a high scoring game and it will just come down to fourth quarter execution for the winning team" was pretty much their summary.

It's not like it couldn't happen. The Raiders are probably ones of those on the "cusp" teams that has arrived. The Saints just signed two new starters, after preseason. That shows a lot. If our offensive line gels right off we can win a shootout.

I'm simulating a Saints-Raiders game on madden 17 with the newly updated rosters lol. It's the end of the third quarter now and Brees just hit Cooks for a 50 yarder to make it 19-7.(they tried a 2 point conversion after the cooks TD and failed) Lutz has been money on both field goals and xp.

Mack demolished Brees on a blitz early in the second and caused a fumble and recovered it. :covri:

Final: Saints 22 Raiders 20

Edibali destroyed Latavius Murray on the attempted tying 2 pt conversion

People are red thumbing it but I wasn't trying to say this is how it's gonna play out, I know it's just Madden I just thought it was fun to watch. It was pretty realistic honestly

Edit: wow there are actually quite a few similarities. Brees fumble, cooks deep pass, 2 point conversion in the final minute...

The Raiders are the better team, but we have home field and if we can keep Drew clean, we will win

Depends on if Armistead is playing. If not, I don't see the Saints winning.

This will depend on the running game. If they Saints have to pass on every down, Mack will have a chance to dominate. If they can run, it could be very different.

The Saints have a bad habit of making QB nobodies look like Pro-bowlers. The Raiders have a nobody QB.

Dree Brees has trouble when he can't step up into the pocket. The Raiders have Kahlil Mack.

Our secondary was only finalized after the last pre-season game.

We have negatives. The Raiders are a rising team. The Saints, well, at best we've stayed even. Whatever happens, I doubt we'll suffer from over-optimism after the game.

It's easy to understand why we aren't expected to win many games this year. Our defense was abysmal last year. We didn't make a splash in fee agency, plus we looked like a JV team this preseason. Make no mistake about it, we are better defensively this year. Keep sleeping on us world. You're gonna be in for a rude awakening. Who Dat!!!!!
