PFF grades from todays games (1 Viewer)

"When not under pressure, Brees finished with a 142.4 passer rating, versus a 63.9 rating when the Oakland rush did get to him. But that only happened on 16.3 percent of his dropbacks, the lowest rate of any QB this week, through the end of Sunday."

But how about that, huh?

If I'm reading that right, Brees had the lowest rushed rate of any QB this week. This offensive line may just be legit. Don't forget Khalil Mack and Bruce Irvin were on the other side!

When I watched Armstead and Mack, it seemed Armstead was almost toying with him. Armstead is a big, athletic, powerful man! Im so glad to have him!

Moore needs to be ready to go this week.

Bring Finnegan back.

It's not a perfect solution, but it is better then going with Crawley again.

Crawley was giving 10-15 yard cushions. He appeared scared to death out there. The OLine looked very good, particularly in pass protection. Jahri may have helped solidify the line.

Harris and Crawley combined to be nearly automatic on receptions, and they are all we have left.

Combine that with Byrd the ninja, and the majority of the secondary is one big automatic reception zone.

Yep..and we get to see how Victor Cruz and ODB make mincemeat out of them next week

We need some experienced DB's stat or this season could go sour very early

All examples of terrible player evaluation by the coaches, scouts, and Loomis.

He probably was. A month ago he was fighting to make the practice squad. Yesterday he was lining up in man coverage against Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.

I thought they had decent coverage at times, just wasn't able to jar the ball loose. I like what I've seen from Crawley, he just isn't ready to be a starting corner in the NFL, I think everyone could agree with that. Even the best rookie corners tend to struggle, this is a guy that was a deep undrafted free agent. I'll say this, he looked a whole lot better than Hayden for the Raiders.

the thing about Harris & Crawley is that while Harris was bad, you see flashes of talent. I see what the coaches see in him.

I haven't seen anything positive out of Crawley, preseason included. Even on the 2 pt. play, he played the WR instead of the ball. He was in perfect position, but he just grabbed Crabtree instead of getting his hands up.

if he's scared, then he needs to be cut immediately. he's been practicing for months against a HoF QB and one of the best WR corps in the NFL.

Thats why one of his teammate is calling him Optimus Prime.

Armstead is unbeliveable good.
I am really happy that his injury seems to be history now.

Have you ever played CB yourself against a WR that is not just an inch taller and the ball is thrown like Carr did?

Offense pratice and use those plays for a reason. Specifically on the Endzone.
Grapping the arms of Crabtree was his only chance at this time to avoid the TD.

Unluckily did Crabtree played it perfectly (Catch at the highest point, turned immediatly with the ball away from the Defender...) plus he was good enough to hold the ball with just one arm as Crawley took away the other one.

Yeah ... Crawley had a tough day but this play was very hard to defend.

I know Crawley was getting beat. I don't remember Harris giving up much though.

This is the *perfect* solution to our defensive back problems right now.

I would be interested in seeing Byrd's grade. In my opinion, he was responsible for a lot of our blown plays. I would welcome seeing Bell out there soon.
