He should only get better as the season progresses.

I remember seeing a few run plays behind Peat and good god... He got to the second and blowing up people. It was a thing of beauty.

That physical talent is why he was 13th overall.

He moves well, great size, great strength.

All the physical tools to be elite are there.

I hope Peat never moves. He doesn't do as well at RT or on the right side in general. Fine. If our OL can be as good as it was yesterday, then I'm good with it.

I agree. Peat looked solid+ at LG. Jahri looked solid at RG. Kelemete looked a little less than solid at RG.

This whole offseason they've tried to force Peat to the right side. It doesn't work right now. But I still think he is the RT of the future. I am a bigger fan of Peat today than I was when we drafted him.

We desperately need Peat to work out. If he can solidify the LG spot then fine I'm cool with that and won't look at it as a failure if he never plays tackle for us. To the naked eye he looked pretty solid to me yesterday at that spot.

I remember when JJ Watt was mic'ed up last season when we played the Texans and he was talking a lot of smack to Strief because he kept blowing him up. On one play Peat laid Watt out and Watt went to the bench and actually admitted that he got put down. I was happy that Peat shut him up at least for a moment.

I believe Peat was playing LG in that game too.

"I think Andrus had a great game," Armstead said. "He was physical; he was after it. He communicated more than ever before. He's not the most talkative guy, so that was good. It seems like he's getting comfortable in that spot, and I like to have him next to me."

Honestly, he looked great. That really went a long ways in solidifying the line for a very strong performance. Hopefully he can continue to build on that success and become an integral part of the offensive line for years to come.

I really liked what I saw from him yesterday. He's going to make a very good left guard.

They had to move Peat around in preseason anyway because he is the only backup at OT and needed to get reps on both sides at tackle. But LG is the perfect spot for him to flourish. He has the size to hold up inside and the quick feet to pull on screens and get to the second level. With pro bowlers on each side under contract for years to come he couldn't be in a better situation. If Jahri and Strief can hold up on the right side we are in business.

Thats encouraging. Also means we took a LG with the 13th pick. I'm fine with that but it means next year we will need to reconfigure the entire Right side of the line.
