174/255 68.2% completion rate, 8.21 ypa, 2093 yards, 16TD/1int and a 112.43 QB rating

Those type of stats are mind boggling. Very few QB's in the history of the game have ever put together a stretch like that but we've grown used to it.

That includes 5 straight games without an interception.

That includes 5 straight games with 300+ yards passing (2) over 400 yards.

That includes 5 multiple TD games, 4 of which he had 3 or more TD passes.

That includes 5 straight games with a passer rating over 100, 3 over 110 and 2 over 130.

We are 3-3 in those 6 games. :(

If you have time can you check the same stats for the opposing QBs in the same games?

Imagine if Drew could play against our D? :covri:

Wasting?

You mean like...We won a Super Bowl with him....wasting?

You mean like we have 7 postseason victories in 50 years, and Drew has 6 of those.....wasting?

Too much work. Doesn't matter though, we should be 6-0 in that stretch regardless of the opposing team.

what was beyond mindboggling was the entire 2015 season where we allowed 45 td passes against only 9 interceptions

Posts like these piss me off. B/c it is so infuriating how we have one of the best quarterbacks we'll probably ever see play for this team and so many years were wasted on woefully inept defense.

There was nothing mind boggling about it. 3rd and 26? Throw a pass in the direction of #39. Instant defensive holding or PI. Drive sustained. Touchdown thrown. Rinse and repeat for 16 games.

224 straight passes without an interception

It is the third time in his career he has gone 5 games without an interception. 6 games would be a new record.

In 2011 he had his longest streak ever with 230.

The NFL record is 335 by Tom Brady.

At the pace in which Brees attempts passes, it would take 2 1/2 more games to set the record (early 3rd quarter). Giants and Falcons defenses are pretty poor, that would lead to the Chargers road game, ironically.

Didn't he already break a long standing record against them one time?
