FG team - Offensive Line (1 Viewer)

Why is the OL for the FG team so different from the normal OL? For instance, Armstead and Peat are playing on the Right side, instead of the left? I've noticed this before, but with the block today between Peat and Armstead, it begs the question.

I wondered the same thing. Maybe on a FG your most important linemen are the RG and RT because you'd have better angle to block the kick from that side. Maybe that's why they are there.

Blocker comes off the right side because he has an open path to the ball relative to the holder.

We are not the only team that does this. If you look plenty of teams put their better blockers on the right side of the FG unit. Whatever we are doing we need to correct the issue. There is way to much pressure coming into Lutz face. To me it looks like someone is going to block every FG.

Too bad that in this game if we would have went for it on 4th down instead of getting the FG blocked then we would have won. Either gotten the first down and maybe a TD or wouldn't have gotten it but wouldn't have immediately given up 7 points either.

Does McMahon understand what low trajectory kick means?

Perhaps he can advise/teach our kicker to correct that.

Perhaps this is too much to ask.

Kicker is a liability once again. STs in general.

I wouldn't stop there. On our returns I would put 3 guys back there and if the ball bounces before the goalline they would only return it if it didn't go into endzone.

3 guys should be able to cover the area since after all its a free ball.

Basically i don't trust any return unit, the blocking, the returner, the coaching scheme.

Just try to get the gifted 25 yd line please.
