Since the entire bounty cr*p, I try to stay away from the media as much as possible due to most of them wanting the "shock" headlines and stories. The little bit that I have seen this morning just shows that most do not do the research that they should.

Granted NYG won the game and their $204 million investment in free agency with most being on defense did hold the Saints offense to 13 points and Brees to 6 less TD passes than in last year's game - HOWEVER - never a mention that 2 UNDRAFTED ROOKIE FREE AGENTS at the corners (players that no one outside of New Orleans, Texas A&M and Colorado probably ever heard of) and a guy picked up off the street 13 days ago held the mighty NYG offense to ZERO touchdowns at home. Meaning the same 6 less TD passes for Drew - is the same for Eli. As a matter of fact, I wonder how long it has been since NYG has not scored an offensive TD in a game.

Oh well - in the NFL, a loss is a loss, but considering what the Saints had on the field against what is one of the better offenses in the league and at their place - the defense played great and if that can be duplicated somehow - it could at least make for an interesting season.

Putting our woes aside, the Giants are just as likely to be this year's Falcons.

Win a ton of close games they should of lost early and then the mean catches up to them.

At least that little blurb is accurate, talking about the fact that Manning has help on defense that he hasn't had in a couple years. Their defense did hold us under 20 points. Held us to 3/13 on third down - which is what really killed us.

What's ridiculous is the fact that the 10 point swing from that blocked field goal is being totally overlooked as the reason they won that game - in the media at least. Their offense scored 9 points...against a defense that didn't spend $200 million on upgrades this off season. Granted, we invested heavily in the defense in the offseason, but mostly with role players and rookies. No top tier, bank breaking FA pickups like the Giants got with Vernon et al.

I, personally, think we're set up pretty well to put it all together moving forward. The defense has played lights out for 6 out of 8 quarters thus far, losing our #1 corner in both games.

The Saints lost quit crying. They are an 0-2 team that's starting 2 UDFA-- so what??

Any team would be happy to hold Drew Brees to what they held him to yesterday. Especially the Giants who gave up 7 touchdowns to him last season. If anything, it's a compliment. Although, it's funny how Brees is considered so over-rated until a media darling has a good game against him.
