Pro Football Focus Grades NO at NY: Most of our o-line graded high (1 Viewer)

I like the outlook of our oline. Peat's switch to LG and resigning Jahri has been huge. I'm pleasantly surprise about Crawley's solid grade as well.

3 takeaways
Held them to 16pts
O-line played well.

The game shouldn't have even been close. It's very disheartening to lose a game this way.

I'm trying to look at it this way. We were never gonna win the SB this year anyway. Let's just try to get better every week this year to prepare for perhaps one final run next season.

I've seen people saying we had a good passrush but when I look at those stats on Eli's drop back's I see where we blitzed 11 times. I see where we didn't blitz 33 times. I then see where he had no pressure on 36 drop backs. Meaning all but 8 of his drop backs he was clean.

Tell me more about this passrush?!?!?

I know we are 0-2. But this isn't the same team as last year or the year before. The defense is clearly improved even with the injuries and the oline is coming together along with excellent young receiver play. It's going to be okay. Next year we will be a threat deep into the playoffs. And I wouldn't not be shocked if we made a 4-5 game run at some point this season. Things can come together. They just have to keep grinding and not lose heart.

But we NEED a win this week! ;)

You'll have to watch the game, particularly after the refs made two communicative holding calls to make the Giants stop holding (only after 2.5 quarters of play mind you).

I will say that I am very impressed with the way the O-line has protected Brees thus far.

Not perfect, but done a damn good job all things considered. Now if we could keep this up throughout the season I will be beyond impressed. :9:

I disagree with Sterling Moore's grade. Yes Beckham had his catches and Moore was flagged for PI, but most of the game he hung tough.

Sometimes these PFF grades don't tell the whole story.

This has been and will probably will continue to be my storyline all season... I think the Saints are a .500ish team as they continue to grow and develop the youth on the roster... Now, we even have injury issues...

I think the big run will be 2017... The last hurrah!!! We'll have $30 plus million and all these young guys will be well seasoned... That's my outlook...

Especially since they had these grades out like 2 hours after the game. In the rush to get content out when people are more likely to read it, they have to be sacrificing some quality.
