Given what we had going into the season, I guessed we'd go 6-10 and haven't changed that guess. Injuries, especially on defense, have been devastating. But here's what I feel optimistic about. We now have a kicker - kudos to Sean for this guy! Coleman showed up big. He's our 4th WR. Fleener muffed 2 passes, but he caught a fistful and appears to be more comfortable each week. I now know whey they kept Cadet. Crawley played much better tonite than last week. Peat slid over to OT and played well. So did Kelemente. Ingram played his best game yet and Hightower also showed up.
I didn't see Lasko, who if he didn't play, could have stopped that long kickoff return. They really, really, really missed Vacaro, which is probably why they couldn't blitz. Yep, I'm optimistic and can't wait for Rankin and Breaux to return.

I'll add to that and say that Sterling Moore was a great addition. Julio got shut down.

I saw the same things you saw. I can't judge this team because we're missing a lot of starters. This is an incomplete team and it's no fault of Coach Payton. I do think our position coaches need an overhaul. I'm optimistic. Stupidly optimistic.

Kelemete went off injured and didn't return did he? As if we could afford any more...

Lutz was a positive. Offense played well. Running was a lot better. More catches than drops. Those were positives.

Fairley led the team in sacks and qb hits. When Rankins returns they will be a formidable duo in the middle.

Byrd is stealing money at this point. He has yet to make impact play for this franchise.

Here is the truth.... Either you believ we don't have the talent, never had the talent, or can't develope the talent at out LB's and DE positions because they are absolutely horrid and have been that way for for too long. What ever the reason is, it's time to fix the problem. I think it starts with Joe Vitt and Bill Johnson. And while your at it can McMahon too, Special team looks special but the kind of wearing a helmet to go to the grocery store special far too long.

I agree with almost all of this except I can wait for the return of players. At this point we might as well just IR the players and get them healthy instead of struggling to put an active roster together reserving slots with the walking wounded.

I think the playcalling was really good, especially the drive in the last minute of the first half to set up the FG. There are times in the past where Payton may have just sat on it there.

Also that 2 pt conversion play was $$
