This team is in rebuilding mode, most of us know that. We just got our first win, let's enjoy it. Look at the positives. The D stepped up several times in the second half, we actually pressured the QB. Michael Thomas made a clutch catch. What are some others you noticed?

Tommy Lee made a couple of clutch catches. Nice to see our young receivers getting more comfortable in the system.

Thumbs up to this post.

Seriously, what were fans expecting coming into this season? We've got a mediocre defence that has already been decimated by injury and a bunch of young guys learning the ropes.

In Aussie Rules football, there's an old adage about young teams needing to learn how to win. Today, with the game looking beyond us, we held on and didn't lose belief. Sure, there were a few unforced errors from their offense, but we still had to score 14 points in the last eight minutes and we did. A win on the road will do wonders for this team's confidence, regardless of the circumstances.

Let's not forget that despite the obvious deficiencies we have in our line-up at the moment, we only lost to the Raiders by a point and the Giants by three. We're not playoff calibre this year, but with another 12 months experience for a lot of our guys and we'd probably be 3-1.

We won a game in which Drew Brees did not play very well. Our D improved greatly after the half and came up wth some very clutch plays when needed.

I thought the defense played well the second half. If it wasn't for those interception, it would of been that close. I seriously hate the idea of the coaches not running the ball on second down. Ingram did give us 4 yards on first down. Why not continue it with the next play. Mark Ingram has been solid. He needs to get more touches. He did well in the passing game.

Drew's press conference was just done, I'd recommend checking it out. He made several great points, but you could tell he was very sincere when he was praising his teammates for this team victory. It was a great win, I'm going to enjoy every minute of it this week.

Well, and next week too! Great time for a bye!

Turf really helped with that last fumble

Stupar seemed to play well

Fairley (except for that:rant::rant: offsides)

Peat seemed to have a good game (took a helmet right to his gut - oof)

Maybe they dropped another in the box, and Drew, as he's taught, elected for the pass play when 1 less defender on the outside.

Every single call has a run pass option that Drew has the authority to switch to.

This is a young and rebuilding team and we are probably going to have more downs that ups this year, but I am encouraged for the future and can't wait to see Rankins and Breaux back to see if those two pieces take some pressure off the other areas that remain deficient. Thomas is a stud and IMO the guy is a #1 receiver in the making.
