Anybody else see this dude just giving up on plays?

I hope the coaches noticed, because he definitely gave up on that one TD play and a couple of others I noticed where he was almost in position to do something.

I mean, he's an undrafted rookie, in way over his head, he is probably severely discouraged about himself at this point. I'm not making judgements because he's been dealt a crappy hand. He should be at best the 5th CB right now, playing special teams and trying to learn from the vets during the week. Instead he's a starting corner going against established NFL WR's every week.

Having said that, he's about 10 times better than Devante Harris, who may honestly be the worst player in the NFL right now.

But then there is the Giants game where he hustles from behind and forces the fumble on Cruz. I guess it's a matter of consistency and want-to for him

He has the attitude but not the athleticism to me. Thinks he is greater than what he is. I think he can succeed but like others said he was thrown to the wolves this early in his career. There is a reason he went undrafted.

That's a poor excuse in context to the OPs statement. The OP was stating that Crawley wasn't hustling. That is something that shouldn't be effected by how well you are playing and the position you are put into.

I damn near threw the remote at the TV on that TD play. He showed no effort at all and seemed to just trot after the WR.

Athletically, he should have been a first round draft pick. His technique and confidence were what really held him back. If he'll trust his abilities, and listen to Aaron Glenn, he could really develop into a good player in this league.

Then he tackles Melvin Gordon for a loss in the back field. So he's up and down for sure right now.

The one where Bell got torched also ?

Yes

I have likely been down thumbed 100 times for making negative comments towards him. He is bad. I find it hard to believe Finniegan was worse than him even if he had attitude issues.

I don't understand how you basically shut down Julio Jones one week and make Igman look like an all pro the next week. He played better in the 2nd half which tells me he is having trouble with the concept of zone defense.

:hihi:

The real problem with this team is that we depend on players like Crawley to be something they are not year in and year out. We are not great at finding stud UDFAs, we just are terrible at drafting and signing free agent defensive players.
