You guys have got to see this. Spoiler, Saints rank 14th.

https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl-power-rankings/

How they get these rankings:
The Pro Football Focus Power Rankings represent how every NFL team ranks overall to this point in the season, based on PFF’s grading of every player on every play of every game. It factors in offense, defense, and special teams, but does not factor in coaching and scheme, which may result in some teams playing better than the sum of their parts. It does not take into account things like team record, injuries or playoff odds, and is a measure of a team’s performance at this point of the season.

Things to consider before getting negative and condescending about the team and PFF. We have a top offense. With Tyeler Davison on the field we have a very stingy run defense. With Breaux and Vaccaro on the field we have a shut down CB and Top 5 SS. We have tools and weapons on both sides of the ball. Let DA and SP figure this whole thing out and watch us make a run.

Awesome.

With these rankings, do you see the Saints getting into the Capital One Bowl or are they bound for the Chik-fil-a Bowl again?

We are two late game pass knockdowns from 3-1. I mean, talk about a game of inches. What if the defender knocks down that two point conversion versus Oakland or better yet, the ref doesn't throw a bogus P.I. flag on Robertson? We are talking about this team in a whole different light if either of those things happen.

Like many of you, I'm a diehard WhoDat, and I thank the OP for posting this. But my initial reaction is:

Meh...

...actions speak louder than words.

:gosaints:

Not arguing with you but I think healthy on defense with Rankins, Breaux and PJ we are 3-1 right now with the only loss to ATL.

I look for a respectable run. We won't make the post season but I like us next year.

Yeah, but that's been the story since 2013. Most of our losses are that way. 2014 pats and panties games come to mind.

That's a big reason why the Chargers game was potential very important. It's like they figured out how to win again, even when Drew wasn't "on". It may mean nothing, but it also could be the start of a decent run. Next Sunday will be a good barometer as to whether or not it took.

I know this, we have a long stretch of very tough games. I believe we rout the panties this next game.

These are my thoughts as well. We really played well enough to be a 3-1 team, but that dopes not mean we don't have holes. We need to get more pass rushers. We could use a solid vet on the line to at least compete/add solid back-up.

I wouldn't mind seeing a backup vet WR to round out the unit. I think we move on from Byrd, so another safety would help. We could use another CB too just because that is a snake bit position for us.

So that said, I think we are a good pass rusher away from being a very good team right now and a few spots of roster filling from being a very different looking team overall. Of course we need to stay healthy too.

Am i the only one that is shocked we cracked the top 20?

I'm more shocked that Chicago is rated higher than we are. But whatever... gotta win these games.

We get some guys back after this bye week (Ellerbe, Armstead). Maybe a couple more guys in a few weeks (Breaux, Rankins).

Never know what kind of run this team can go on if we were at relative full strength.

To win the Super Bowl you have to get all the breaks, the calls and hold on to interceptions and stay healthy. We have been on the wrong end of that type of luck since the super bowl. THEN, the football gods reached down in SD and touched our team in the 4th quarter and said enough is enough, let's turn this around. I think it's the beginning of a streak. One that will carry us into the playoffs.
