It's way early in the season, but I have a serious question.
What is the worst that the Saints final W-L record could be and still have Brees be seriously in the MVP conversation?
Manning is retired.
Brady was suspended for 4 games.
Roethlisberger will miss time with an injury.
Wilson and Rogers both look very, very human.
Prescott is going to be replaced when Romo comes back.
Rivers, Dalton, Eli, et al. will all regress to their own mean soon enough.
Laughably, that leaves Matt Ryan as the early season leader, with Brees putting up stats that will keep him in the conversation.
So, what do you think? When Brees puts up ANOTHER 5K with >66% accuracy, 40+ TD's and his usual 12 INTs, will he be in the conversation if the Saints are 8-8? 7-9? Or is it just another Susan Lucci season?
