What's the word on Peat? (1 Viewer)

must have been a hell of a kick to the nuts since he wasn't even on the sideline for the 2nd half.

Tony Hills in the second half. Down to third string at LT - not good. Need to hear that Peat is OK.

I'm just about sick of this injury bug. It's past ridiculous.

Not that it needs any more ammunition, but wasn't the whole point (overtly, anyway) of moving TC to Greenbrier to cut down on injuries? This team's never been so injured as they have the past 2-3 seasons.

It had to do with reps, not injuries. The theory is that you can get in more and better repetitions when everyone isn't about to pass out from the heat, or cramping up every other practice station.

Idk about the injury but he looked pretty freaking good against charles johnson and kony ealy.

Also I said during the game that having Kelemete at guard really shows me how good Peat is at LG.

Not that Kelemete didn't play well, but he got bull rushed a few times, and Peat has been a little better at handling that.

Agree 100%. I have to eat a lot of crow on this one, because I was one of Peat's harshest critics. Who knew that the guy's entire problem was basically because he had been playing out of position. You'd think the other line positions would be easier than LT, even for a natural LT, but that just isn't for him.

He is as pure a LT as they come. Almost makes you wonder if Armstead is the guy we should try to move to another position.

...almost.

The smart money says, play him at LG, left is his natural side, until his contract is up, which is they year before Armstead's contract ends, all the while he "fills in as needed at LT", then extend him in the 5-6 year range at LG money, then either let Armstead, now in 30's, walk or offer to pay him RT money and move there, then shift over Peat. Now we have a starting LT for LG money.

That's a lot of savings. RT's can easily be had rounds 2-5 next year. Just my 2 cents.

With Peat and Moore ... kind of hoping no news is good news.

When Saints players injured during games have had Monday check-ups/MRIs ... doesn't any bad news come out immediately? Like if someone has to go on IR or miss several weeks after their Monday examination ... doesn't that info typically come out same day, or at worst Tuesday morning?
