I thought a bunch of Who Dats would get a kick over this video. It's the same discussion many of us had over Brees in 2015 and Aaron Rodgers is much younger than Brees. Just leave it to the press.

BTW: I'd love to pick-up Rodgers after Brees. Betcha SP could do magic for the Aging (sarcasm/off) Rodgers.

You've also wanted to pick up Wilson and Luck in the past. No one is picking up Rodgers ever.

Teams do not let franchise QBs go. Same reason Brees is never leaving NO before he retires.

Only two qbs have shown that they can go head to head with Father Time, and come out on top, Drew Brees and Tom Brady. Aaron Rodgers is neither of them.

Brees and Brady haven't hit the proverbial father time wall yet, so the jury is still out on them at the moment.

Something is up with him but I wouldn't say it's age just yet. He is obviously still physically gifted. I don't watch him very often but I have heard that he just isn't taking what the defense gives him. Not playing within the offense is putting them in unfavorable down and distance more than they should be and making everyone on the offenses job more difficult.

That discussion last year was you and a load of red thumbs

Many others just looked at the folks suggesting he had declined and/or needed to be traded, and never took them seriously. :9:

LOL.....I was actually gonna be cordial and not say that...but yeah. You nailed it.

This whole 'aging quarterback' thing is just sports-media trolling. They know that QB's play within their prime abilities late into their 30s . . . and beyond that it, it appears to be a matter of the individual player's conditioning and a combination of luck and skill at avoiding injury.

Favre and Peyton both had seasons of performance that rank in the top 5 of their careers after the age of 38. Tom Brady is past 38 and he continues to one of the top 5 QBs in the league. Drew Brees turns 38 during this season and looks to be at least as sharp (or sharper) than last year where he led the league in production despite missing a game.

The sports media know this. They're just trolling. This is why the sports media sucks these days. They have no originality, just the same old manufactured discussions and debates, often on bull-**** premises.

He still able to make multiple reads,,,extend plays. They are similar to us. Play calling getting predictable with down and distance personel and formations. Key offensive play makers are not performing well or coming off injury. Cobb/Nelson..young guys not stepping up or developing quickly. Montgomery/Janis/Adams. O line issues. Over weight RB. And o line issues. Rogers is not the issue. Even with all that. They will be competive. Rodgers is a dang good football player

Brady is 39. Very few QBs play with any real effectiveness at that age. Peyton Manning's record setting year was at 37, he had a good year at 38 and he started falling off rapidly after that. Favre fell off after his 38th birthday, had a slight resurgence at 40 and then fell off and retired. I can't think of anyone else who was super productive at his (Brady's) age.

Remember when Rodgers was a **** about Brees holding off season workouts?

A nerve was struck. That was obvious. After leading the Green Bay Packers to a 42-34 win over New Orleans last week, Aaron Rodgers held a bookmark-worthy told-you-so press conference for the ages.

Love it. Hate it. He wasn't holding back.

"It was a good start for us," he said. "I've just got to ask myself, 'What would have happened if we had off-season workouts? Could we have started any faster and scored more points tonight?' "

Ensuing questions about the Packers' thrilling win were steered toward more "off-season workouts" remarks oozing with sarcasm. Drew Brees held team workouts during the lockout; Rodgers did not, you know the story.

In a battle of the best, Rodgers is better than Brees

That was 2011. Rodgers was 27 and Brees was 32. Rodgers is now 32 and Brees 37. Rodgers looks like he's hit a wall and Brees is on pace for one of his better seasons. Maybe Rodgers doesn't have the personal work ethic to stay great the way a Brees or Brady do.
