I'm not blaming him, stuff happens, but this was shaping up to be a great game and then...GAME OVER.

Definitely should could woulda, but MAN, that was a big turnover, not just for the game, but maybe the season. If we could snuck outta KC with a win, with the cavalry on the verge of coming back, well...who knows. :(

this - just a right place right time play
we benefited from it in SD and it cost us here - we're a team with very narrow margins right now so these types of plays loom large

As much as people want to complain about this or that, the fact is the saints got beat by a better team. The chiefs are a good team no shame in that.

To the Chiefs credit it was a good defensive play.

Kind of a bad offensive play as well. In traffic, near the goal line, maybe just maybe you should secure the ball. It was away from his body and secured with only his hand/forearm. I agree it was a good defensive play, but good defense can be countered with good offense.

The Chiefs are not a better team than the Saints. The Saints shot themselves in the foot today..Penalties, Pick 6, turnover, delay of game.

They're almost evenly matched but the homefield was the difference. It doesn't matter if you want to believe it or not; chiefs are 4-2 and saints are 2-4.

We might very well still be only a game and a half back from 1st in the South if the Falcons lose. 2-4 in a weak division leaves it open still, but margin of error closing fast. The calvary needs to hurry up and get here though so we can get this thing going!

Mistakes again killed the team. I thought we ran the ball well and played well. But that Ingram fumble and the pick six dug our grave for this game.

Was a good defensive play from a team that's 2nd in turnovers I believe.

Correct. The Chiefs are yet another NFL team that could end up between 6 and 10 wins before the season started. Only a handful of teams are great or dreadful (Pats, Browns, etc). The rest is just a heaping pile of parity.

Exactly. We have less than zero depth and are running a bunch of backups as it is. We have no room for error. I actually credit Payton for having us be in games. I do think we have the opportunity to turn the corner next year though.
