My Vikings are hypocrites (allegedly) (1 Viewer)

What bothers me is that there are a few things reported as facts in this article that were proven false in court.

The "Give me my money" comment attributed to Hargrave in the article...proven not to be him.

There are others, but I won't take the time....Sloppy fact checking...I guess I should expect nothing else from today's crop of "journalist."

I always thought that the Saints were basically used as a convenient whipping boy by the league and the media.

I may be one of the few rational Vikings fans in this case...

I could only imagine the Vikings announcer say "look at that young man pay". Lol

Which team didn't have something like this- even just the language they used- for not years but decades?

We got "caught" and paid the price.

Anybody have the Favre book? Is it any good?

Viking fans still cry about that game, it is what it is, just football

Wait, so the Vikings participated in something that every single other team in the NFL was doing as well?

But 1 team was punished for it?

Favre has a long, long history of forcing picks late in close playoff losses.

Combine that with an absurd six fumbles and a killer brain-lock team penalty with 19 seconds to go, and the entire story of this game was that the Saints handled the pressure and won, and the game was too big for the Vikings, who choked and went home.

Not really much else to say.

I'd term it "unfairly singled out". As stated many times before, I'll follow the Saints but not the rest of the league. It's a mess on too many levels. I've gotten much more sports-viewing satisfaction lately watching hockey and, last night, the start of the World Series.

What's really ironic here is that the Vikings actually paid out cash for injuring players, which the Saints system rewarded good defensive plays.

What a joke the league is.
