Hey all, I need a little help.

Bc of the news w the Viking bounty, I'm having a discussion with someone about our alleged bounty program. He's saying some of the most damning evidence is the Williams recording or discussing how Crabtree had a bad ACL and Wilson a bad head and how we should go after those guys. Then when I said numerous other players and coaches have been recorded (in interviews no less) saying the same thing, but he doesn't believe me, and I'm having trouble finding the links.

Can y'all please share the links to previous examples of other teams doing this so I can shut him up?

Emmitt Smith separated his shoulder in the second quarter of the Cowboys' 1993 season finale against the Giants. The Giants defenders knew he was injured, and looked to finish Smith off:

Current Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis was with the Giants in 1993. He remembers the New York defenders growing increasingly frustrated.

“Guys on our sideline kept saying, ‘Hey, man, let's just keep bringin' it to him,'” DeCamillis said. “I remember Lawrence Taylor, saying, ‘We got to knock him out. We got to get him out of this game.'”

...

Something similar happened to Herschel Walker when he played in the USFL for the New Jersey Generals, but I'm having trouble finding a link.

Some further info about this -- looks like Walker concealed a shoulder injury because he and his Generals teammates fully expected his shoulder to get targeted:

Had Walker told the world about the pain in his shoulder, perhaps the critics would have been kinder. But Walker remained quiet.

"I saw the pain," offensive guard Wayne Harris said. "I can't tell you how many times his shoulder popped out of its socket, and he'd have to go to the sidelines and have someone pop it back in. Why didn't he publicize it? Well, if (quarterback) Doug Flutie had a bad arm you wouldn't publicize it either because the other team would go after it.

"But (Walker) was in pain. He'd be lying on the ground, and you could see it in his face. Then, he'd just jog off the field to keep everyone from knowing."

While I am sick and tired of hearing about all this, nothing would make me smile bigger than seeing all of this come crashing down on Goodell and the NFL.

Goodell is Teflon Man. As long as the owners continue making money, nothing will ever stick to him, no matter how grievous.

I think one could catch him red-handed - on video - indisputably murdering his neighbors. And they'd still find a way to white-wash over it.

Well, maybe that's a slight exaggeration.

Unfortunately though - it's only slight.
