Been on here for years and have no clue how to start a poll, but I think this should be a fun topic to talk about.

I'm sorry y'all but I'm starting the hot hand and thats Tim Hightower. Mods if y'all can start a poll that would be great.

I read earlier where Ingram was saying if you fumble you dont play, so a game against one of the worst rushing defensive teams in the 49ers could bounce ingram back but could make Hightower really explode mentally if he has another monster game.

Got to watch some games I missed, and Ingram just looks bad hoping he can turn it around and get it going so this should be fun Sunday. I got High tower starting if I'm coach he's hungry and just put up a 100plus against Seattle. Who y'all got? Who dat.

I'd definitely start Hightower and see how productive he is. I'd also give Ingram some touches later and see how being benched has motivated him because Ike it or not we may need him down the line.

Stick with the hot hand. Let Hightower set tone.

Ingram gives him a breather when needed. Ingram gets some pass protection, shotgun formations, and draw plays for more snaps.

Only way you don't start Ingram is if Hightower is going to be the starter. I say you start Ingram, give him a few to see how he responds. If he's not lighting it up, I'd give the carries to Hightower and Lasco. However, I believe with Ingram's history this should be a 140 yard game for him.

Hightower. First 100 yard rusher speaks volumes. Especially against one of the best defenses in the league. Ingram just isn't explosive enough

I'm not particularly in favor of Ingram losing his job, but I could get behind Hightower being the early down back more often, and Ingram serving as the 3rd down and goal line back for a bit. I think those roles would be much more fitting than we may think they would...

I'm a bit torn. I feel like Hightower has earned it but then again this could be a great opportunity to get Ingram back on track. Maybe split the carries early and see who gets it.

Agreed

Tough call to make without seeing what goes down during weekly practices. I would play him, maybe not start him. But he really has to know that this leash around his neck is shorter and more expensive to the team with each poor performance. Coach and Loomis is no longer scared to admit to mistakes and move on..

The new Saints motto
We may have dead money, but we don't have you.

Not about who starts. It's about who gets the most carries.

Keeping in mind that Hightower couldn't make the team last season. No other teams wanted him. And he only ended up back on our roster because of the injury to Robinson.......but yeah. He looked alight one game. Let's make him a starter.

Interesting to note. If Hightower IS named starter, Ingram will then become the most popular for our running backs as he will be the backup. The curse of the Saint fan to naively pretend the backup running back is better than the starter.

ingram is the reason for that rule. Only way that applies to him is if cadet is in front of him.
