I know this doesn't mean much, but the latest SI power rankings had 3 of our 4 losses ranked in the top 5.

3. KC
4. ATL
5. OAK

11. NYG

All 4 have a winning record.

And three of those games were ours for the taking.
Just another sign we are trending up.

I noticed this too. Looking even further Seattle was at 6 and Denver at 7.

For anyone having respect anxiety take a look at who's ranked at #10 on the SI NFL power rankings........

You're welcome!!.............:mwink:

two of our losses came against division leaders and the other two losses against teams that are in second place. we lost to good teams and we were in every game except atlanta.

Yep, I've been saying all along, this team is better than its record shows. Very similar to the 2008 team, lots of bad luck and injuries but you could tell they were on the cusp.

Honestly, until that muffed punt we were set up to take control of the game. Would surely have been a different game had we driven for a TD there.

The sad part is I've seen us drop in some polls after beating the 49ers. Guess we needed to win bigger.

We got beat by teams that were better at the time and found ways to win....or not lose.

Say's something about the coaching....yet we were a very young team that hadn't quite found our footing either. You combine that new sense of knowledge of who we are with the coaching and we can and are winning some games.

Yeah I was just about to say all but the ATL we easily could of won (and probably should've as well). Even though we don't do the coulda, woulda, shoulda game, it's good to see that we've been in ALL those games and they could have went either way. We just need to keep churning out the effort.

I think our record is correct honestly. We could easily have a lost a couple of the games we won as well. Especially SD.

Losing Kenny sucks but defense is getting better. It's hard to expect any better than 4-4 when you give up on average 30 points per game.

WoW! That put a smile on my face. I been looking at NFL.com with us sitting at 22 and wondering why two of the teams we beat are so much higher than us. And that Raiders game we got cheated out of winning...those guys are rated at #5!

I just hope it all shakes out in the end. If we keep trending up like we have, it'll work out with us as a wildcard.
