This team is coming together for a run down the weaker side of the schedule. I'm much more optimistic now than I was a month ago. Good things ahead.

If we improve I see us going 9-7.
That's a lot of hoping and wishing that the Falcons wind up with the same or worse record.
This game was so important. With a win Thursday at least we are still technically "alive". With a loss, you can pretty much put a fork in this season.
That would be something, but I think we've just commenced our now-annual swan dive that comes after clawing back to 4-4.
It's our thing.
(along with some more happy talk from Payton at the end of the season about the young guys and how great the locker room is and how we have things to clean up and how we are better than our record and then we start the cycle all over)
Sadly I agree.
Saints haven't been over .500 since 2013...
2014 after starting 4-4 they lose 3 in a row and end up 7-9.
2015 after starting 1-4 they battled back to 4-4... only to lose 4 in a row and end up 7-9.
I didn't look beyond that but someone else said in 2012 they were 5-5 and then went 7-9 again.
The saints just don't seem to have the testicular fortitude to claw back from such a deficit.
