Web sites that use Disqus for their comment sections have that feature. I hear some others do as well.

The spoiler blocker in the link ASB81689 posted is s good work-around, if a little more complex.

I used to just try and change text color the same as the background color, but I use SR black and people who use the default background could still see it.

Yea there is no perfect way to do, and it's a bit cumbersome, especially for our technically challenged members.
